UH, I THINK WE HAD A COUPLE OF PEOPLE WHO HAD SIGNED UP TO SPEAK OR NOT NECESSARILY TO SPEAK, BUT TO ATTEND.

UM, I DON'T SEE ANY, EITHER ONE OF THEM, UH, IN, IN THE QUEUE I WAS GOING TO PROVIDE, UH, FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS, UH, IF THEY COME IN TO THE QUEUE, UH, WE'LL, WE'LL TRY TO WORK THAT IN, UH, THE FIRST ITEM ON OUR AGENDA IS APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF THE JULY 5TH, 2021 MEETING.

I HAVE A MOTION FOR APPROVAL BY DIRECTOR WILLIAMS AND A SECOND BY DIRECTOR ALBAN, UH, WITHOUT ANY DISCUSSION CA UH, DIRECTORS PLEASE VOTE.

AND THAT IS APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY ITEM TWO CONSIDERATE DELAY CONSIDERING THAT'S A NEW WORD, UH, CONSIDER DELIBERATE OR TAKE ACTION ON A RESOLUTION ITEM TWO, A APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF NORTH GLENBURG DRIVE AND WEST WALNUT STREET AND AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE SUCH DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION, UH, DIRECTORS.

I'M GOING TO PULL UP HERE.

UH, THIS IS, UH, A PROPERTY THAT YOU'RE FAMILIAR WITH, UM, AT THREE 16 NORTH GLENBROOK, IT'S GOING TO PULL UP A MAP UP HERE REAL QUICK.

UM, SO THE PROPERTY WE'RE LOOKING TO ACQUIRE IS AT THREE 16 NORTH GLENBROOK, IT'S MADE UP OF TWO PARCELS OUTLINED IN RED.

UH, THEY TOTAL ABOUT A HALF ACRE.

UH, IT'S ADJACENT TO THE WOMEN'S ACTIVITY CENTER, CENTRAL LIBRARY, AND THE LANDMARK MUSEUM.

UH, WE HAVE A, UH, VERBAL MAYBE ASSIGNED COMMITMENT FROM THE PROPERTY OWNER FOR THAT ACQUISITION PRICE OF ABOUT 285,000.

UH, IT WAS RIGHT IN THE RANGE OF WHAT WE HAD HOPED TO PAY FOR THE PROPERTY.

UM, IN THE SHORT TERM, WE PLAN TO REPURPOSE THE 2000 SQUARE FOOT OFFICE BUILDING FOR USE, UM, DURING THE CENTRAL LIBRARY RENOVATION, UH, WE'RE STILL GETTING KIND OF MAKING A SPACE PLAN EXACTLY FOR WHAT WE WANT TO DO WITH THE 2000 SQUARE FOOT BUILDING, BUT MOST LIKELY IT'LL HOST HOST SOME ADMINISTRATION OFFICES, UM, AND POTENTIALLY SOME STORAGE SPACE.

UM, AND, UH, WE'VE ALSO LEARNED RECENTLY THE WOMEN'S ACTIVITY CENTER, UH, WILL POTENTIALLY BE AVAILABLE FOR OUR USE AS WELL HERE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

SO, UH, SHORT TERM, UH, BOTH THOSE BUILDINGS WILL REALLY HELP US DURING THE CENTRAL LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT AND THEN LONGTERM.

UH, WE WANT TO LOOK TO REDEVELOP, UM, BOTH OF THESE PROPERTIES, WHICH, UM, IF WE ACQUIRE THE THREE 16, WE'LL END UP, UH, REALLY OWNING EVERYTHING FROM SIXTH TO GLENBROOK NORTH OF AUSTIN, UH, AND IT'LL PRESENT US WITH A LONGTERM REDEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY THAT, UM, WE'LL, WE'LL LOOK FORWARD TO PLANNING THAT OUT, UM, AND COMING UP WITH A GOOD REDEVELOPMENT PLAN.

UH, WE HAVE, UH, SIGNED CONTRACTS FROM BOTH OWNERS, UH, FOR THE PRICES THAT YOU SEE ON THE SCREEN THERE FOR 25, FOR 2,102 AND TWO 40 FOR 2106.

UM, THEY, UH, PROVIDE FOR 2,106 PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD, UM, PLAN TO CLOSE ON THAT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

AND, UM, IT'S A HOME THAT'S IN PRETTY BAD SHAPE.

WE PLAN TO, UH, DEMOLISH IT.

UH, AND THEN 2102, UH, WE'VE WORKED OUT AN ARRANGEMENT WITH THE OWNERS, FOR THEM TO STAY IN THE, UH, STAY IN THE HOME FOR REALLY UP TO 18 MONTHS IF NEED BE.

UM, SO THIS IS OF COURSE, A STRATEGIC PARK, UH, FUTURE PARK ACQUISITION AND CREATION, AND WE'RE LOOKING TO ASSEMBLE THESE TWO PROPERTIES TO HELP, HELP PUT THAT PLAN TOGETHER.

SO I'M HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.

AND I KNOW, UM, DIRECTOR ROBIN HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN THIS AS WELL.

AND THEN THE, THE ARMITAGE PROPERTY I THINK, IS GOING TO BE SPECTACULAR AND REALLY APPRECIATE COUNCIL'S SUPPORT ON THIS.

THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY.
