[Park Board on August 24, 2021.]

[00:00:10]

ARE WE READY? OKAY.

THIS IS, UH, AUGUST THE FOURTH, AND THIS IS THE REGULAR MEDIA AND THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD.

AND I DECKER'S PARKS CHAIR, CALL THIS MEETING TO ORDER FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF EVERYBODY READY.

I HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE MOTION TO APPROVE A MOTION TO APPROVE BY MOMMY, BISHOP SECOND FROM DAVID MOREHOUSE.

AND YOU CAN DISCUSSION ALL IN FAVOR, SAY AYE.

AYE.

ALL OPPOSED.

OKAY.

NEXT ITEM FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION, CONSIDER FEEDS STATUS REQUESTS, NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION.

I WILL, UH, RECUSE MYSELF FROM VOTING ON THIS SINCE I AM, UH, FROM NEIGHBORHOOD.

OH, EXCUSE ME.

SO WE HAVE A NEW PARK BOARD MEMBER AND IT'S UH, JASON, UH, GARY, RIGHT? YEP.

AND HE'S FROM THE DISTRICT BY BIG PUMPS FIELD FROM, AND MARGARET'S WHATEVER.

ALL RIGHT.

SORRY ABOUT THAT.

HEY, ALBERT, MATERRA, WE'LL TALK.

SO MOST OF Y'ALL HEARD THE SPILL ALREADY, BUT I'LL, I'LL SUMMARIZE IT A LITTLE BIT FOR JASON.

SO, UH, THIS IS THE EXEMPT, UH, FOR OAK RIDGE NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION.

AND SO PART OF THE FREAK, UH, FEE FEE EXEMPTION CRITERIA IS, ARE, UH, B A NON-EXEC A NON-PROFIT CIVIL CULTURAL OR SERVICE GROUP BASED FROM THE CITY OF GARLAND, UM, NONPROFIT.

UM, THEY MUST FOLLOW AND SUBMIT THESE.

UH, SO IN ORDER TO DO THIS, THEY'LL SEND A LETTER TO DELAY, UM, INCLUDED WITH THE BYLAWS DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF WHAT THEY PLAN TO USE THE FACILITY FOR, UM, LIST OF THE GROUP MEMBERS.

IF THEY HAVE LIKE AN EXTENSIVE, UH, GROUP, UM, PROVE NONPROFIT STATUS, UM, IF APPLICABLE, IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A 5 0 1 C3.

UM, ONCE SHE GETS IT, SHE GOES AHEAD AND PRESENT IT TO YOU GUYS, TO OUR COMMITTEE AND OUR GROUP.

UM, YOU GUYS APPROVE IT, NEITHER REQUEST, UH, AND THEN SHE WILL, UH, DELETE WE'LL GO AHEAD AND NOTIFY THEM IF THEY WERE APPROVED OR NOT.

ONCE THEY APPROVE, THEY COULD CALL THE REC CENTERS, UH, AND SCHEDULE A SPECIFIC TIME FOR THEM TO MEET.

UM, AS IT SAYS, WE WILL NOT, UM, WE WILL NOT BUMP OUR CLASSES, UM, IN ORDER FOR US TO ACCOMMODATE THEM, BUT WE WILL DO THE BEST WE CAN TO FIND THE LOCATION FOR THEM.

OKAY.

AND THEN OUR RECOMMENDATIONS THAT WE APPROVE THE REQUEST, ANY QUESTIONS MR. KARNER, I'D LIKE TO MAKE A MOTION THAT WE APPROVE THE OAK RIDGE NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION REQUEST.

I HAVE A MOTION FROM DON CARNER ZAKAT.

THE SECOND FROM JERRY CARTER.

I HAVE A QUESTION.

OKAY.

WE HAVE A QUESTION.

YES.

IS THERE SOME DISCUSSION, MARGARET MOLLY.

WE USED TO SIT NEXT TO EACH OTHER, JASON.

UM, SO YOU SAY THAT I HAVE TO BE PART OF A 5 0 1 C3.

SO WHAT DESIGNATES THEM AS A NONPROFIT.

SO THERE'S, THERE IS A NONPROFIT STATUS THAT THEY COULD GET.

UM, BUT IT DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN THEY'RE TAX EXEMPT.

UH, SO IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT THE ORGANIZATION IS WILLING TO DO.

CAUSE TO GET A 5 0 1, 3 IS PRETTY EXTENSIVE.

IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO GET, SO THEY'RE A 5 0 1 C FOUR, WHICH IS A NONPROFIT, BUT THEY'RE NOT A CHARITY.

SO THEY ARE TAX EXEMPT.

UM, WE HAVE ASSOCIATIONS COME BEFORE US, UH, ASKED ME THIS TAX EXEMPT FROM TIME TO TIME, APPROXIMATELY HOW MANY, UM, TIMES HAVE WE GRANTED THAT TEXT OR THAT USE EXEMPT? I'M SORRY.

USE EXEMPT EXEMPTION.

WE PROBABLY DO ABOUT THREE TO FOUR A YEAR THAT WE ADD TO OUR LIST.

UM, IT'S REAL RARE THAT WE SAY NO TO IT, DEPENDING ON WHAT THEY WANT TO USE THE FACILITY FOR, UH, IT FITS WE'RE MEETING SEMINAR, SOMETHING TO DO WITH THEIR ORGANIZATION THAT ENHANCES THE GARLAND.

THEN WE ALLOW THAT.

BUT IF IT'S, IF THEY'RE GETTING SPECIFICALLY TO RENT IT TO HOLD DANCES OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, THEN THAT'S WHEN WE SAY NO.

ALL RIGHT.

AND THEN, UM, APPROXIMATELY HOW MANY TIMES A YEAR WOULD THE AVERAGE GROUP THAT IS USING EXEMPT? UM, USE ONE OF OUR FACILITIES, PROBABLY THREE TO FOUR TIMES A YEAR.

IT'S REAL RARE.

WE'LL FIND ONE THAT USES IT MONTHLY.

UH, WE'LL PROBABLY HAVE PROBABLY A HANDFUL THAT, THAT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT AND USE IT, UH, FOR AN HOUR FOR THEIR ASSOCIATION MEETING.

BUT, UM, BUT THE OTHER GROUPS,

[00:05:01]

LIKE THE BOY SCOUTS ARE REALLY GOOD ABOUT USING IT.

UM, BUT AGAIN, IT ALL DEPENDS ON, UH, IF THEIR LOCATIONS, NOT THE TEMPORARY LOCATIONS, NOT AVAILABLE KIND OF DEAL.

AND THEN AS A LAST QUESTION, UM, I PRESUME THAT THIS IS USED DURING NORMAL HOURS.

AND IS THERE ANY ADDITIONAL COST TO THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY FOR THIS, THIS GROUP TO USE THIS FACILITY? THERE'S NOT, AS LONG AS THEY USE IT, YOUR NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS, ANYTHING AFTER NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS, IT GOES TO A REGULAR RENTAL.

THANK YOU, SIR.

COULD I FOLLOW UP WITH ONE MORE QUESTION, PLEASE? WHAT'S THE NORMAL DURATION THAT YOU ALLOW THE MEETINGS TO BE? UH, TYPICALLY, UH, THEY PROBABLY AVERAGE ONE TO TWO HOURS.

UH, THERE IS SOME OCCASIONS WHERE THEY'RE DOING AN EVENT LIKE, UM, THE PUMP WITH DERBY THAT WE ALLOWED THEM TO DO IT FOR SIX OR SEVEN HOURS, DEPENDING ON, YOU KNOW, WHAT'S IN THE FACILITY AT THE TIME.

SO IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT THEY WANT TO USE IT FOR RIGHT NOW.

THERE'S NOT A RESTRICTION OF HOURS.

THERE'S NOT A SET THAT YOU CAN ONLY USE IT FOR ONCE, ONCE, MONTH FOR ONE HOUR.

RIGHT NOW WE HAVEN'T DEVELOPED THIS PROCESSES YET.

AND THEN I GUESS THAT WOULD GIVE ME ONE MORE, UM, ARE WE THINKING ABOUT DEVELOPING, UH, A LITTLE, A LITTLE MORE, UM, A LITTLE MORE STRUCTURED.

UM, DO YOU, UM, FOR THE, YOU KNOW, FOR CONSIDERATION FOR THESE GROUPS? ABSOLUTELY.

I THINK THE LEA IS WE'VE BEEN WORKING ON THAT AND LIKE WE WERE WORKING ON IT BEFORE COVID HIT.

SO I THINK WE'LL START PICKING IT BACK UP AND DEVELOP SOMETHING TO PRESENT TO YOU GUYS.

THANK YOU, SIR.

OKAY.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? ANY OTHER DISCUSSION? YOU SAID IT WASN'T GOING TO BUMP ANY PROGRAMMING.

I'M SORRY.

IT WASN'T GOING TO BUMP ANY PROTESTS.

YEAH, WE WON'T BUMP A PROGRAM IF THERE'S A, LIKE AN OPEN HOUR WHEN THEY WANT IT, WE'LL LET THEM BOOK IT.

BUT IF THERE'S A CLASS ALREADY THERE, WE WON'T SAY, SORRY.

WELL, DOES THAT WORK IN THE OPPOSITE IF THEY'VE BOOKED IT, YOU KNOW, FOR THE THREE TIMES OR FOUR TIMES DURING THE YEAR, WILL YOU YOU'LL PUT THAT PROGRAM SOMEPLACE ELSE THEN? RIGHT.

I MEAN, IF, IF THEY'RE ALREADY BOOKED, WE WON'T OVER, WE WON'T BOOK ON TOP OF THEM.

WE'LL MAKE SURE THAT THERE'S NOT PROGRAMS DURING THAT TIME SLOT.

UH, USUALLY THEY'LL, THEY'RE REALLY GOOD ABOUT BOOKING IT AT A MONTH AT A TIME.

SO IF THEY BOOK IT AND WE KNOW IT, UH, WE WILL MAKE SURE THAT THERE'S, WE DON'T TRY TO PROGRAM THAT SPACE.

AND, UM, HOW LONG DOES THIS B EXEMPTION LAST FOR THIS ASSOCIATION? APPARENTLY NOT A TIMETABLE FOR THAT.

AND THAT'S SOMETHING THAT WE WOULD ADD TO THAT AS WELL.

THANK YOU.

OKAY.

ARE YOU READY FOR A VOTE? YES.

ALL IN FAVOR, SAY AYE.

AYE, AYE.

AYE.

RECOMMENDATION IN A SECOND.

YEAH.

YES.

SORRY.

AND FOR THE RECORD I ABSTAINED BECAUSE THIS IS MY NEIGHBORHOOD CHERRY CARTER.

OKAY.

UH, NEXT STEP, UH, PARK FOUNDATION UPDATE MOLLY.

OKAY.

UM, Y'ALL KNOW I'M A BOARD MEMBER, BUT I DON'T HAVE A TITLE OR ANYTHING.

UM, WE'RE MOVING RIGHT ALONG.

UM, AS FAR AS, UH, WE'RE FUNDED, WE HAVE A BANK ACCOUNT.

WE HAVE OUR TAX EXEMPT STATUS, BUT WE HAVE SOME IMPORTANT PEOPLE THAT ARE, UM, WE'RE MOVING RIGHT ALONG.

WE'RE WORKING ON A WEBSITE, UM, FUNDING, UH, I DON'T KNOW THAT WE HAVE A WHOLE LOT DIFFERENT TO DO.

AND, UM, ALSO, UH, I DON'T KNOW WHERE WE'RE GOING TO BE MEETING THE NEXT TIME, BUT, UM, WE DO WANT TO INVITE ANYONE THAT IS INTERESTED TO COME TO OUR MEETINGS.

WE HAVE MOVED THEM FROM SATURDAY TO THE SECOND WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH.

AND WHERE ARE YOU MEETING? WHERE ARE YOU MEETING? I'M SORRY.

UM, WE HAVE BEEN MEETING AT 14.

I THINK IT'S 14, 14 CRANFORD, BUT THE, UM, KENYA'S, UH, OFFICE LOCATION, BUT SHE HAS HAD A FAMILY, UM, UH, DEATH, DEATH IN THE FAMILY.

AND SO IF WE TRIED TO MEET IT, UM, LABELLA AND THE BOWL IS CLOSED FOR RENOVATION AND WE TRIED TO GO TO NORMA'S, NORMA'S GOT A PLUMBING ISSUE.

SO, UM, IT'S, IT'S BEEN INTERESTING.

YOU CAN APPLY FOR AFE EXEMPTION FROM, AND WE WOULD CONSIDER IT, I WILL, UM, BRING THAT, UM, REQUEST TO THE BOARD, BUT I MEAN, WE, WE WERE TRYING TO OPERATE SOMEWHAT INDEPENDENTLY OF THE PART DEPARTMENT.

NOT, NOT SEPARATE FROM THEM, BUT INDEPENDENTLY FROM THEM AND TO ENHANCE, UM, YOU KNOW, IT'S, WE GOT TO WORK HAND IN HAND SOME WAY, BUT I THAT'S ACTUALLY A REALLY GOOD IDEA.

AND THEN I THANK YOU FOR THAT.

AND THE LIBRARY HAS SPACES TO THE, UM, YOU KNOW, IN NORMAL TIMES WHEN THINGS GET BACK TO NORMAL,

[00:10:01]

I'VE HELD LOTS OF MEETINGS AT THE SHARED TABLE COFFEE HOUSE AT SPRING CREEK CHURCH, AND IT'S GOT LOTS OF SPACE AND CORNERS AND NOOKS, SO TO SPREAD OUT AND DO THINGS.

SO ANYWAY, I THINK I MIGHT NOTE THAT POKING AROUND THE WEBSITE FOR SOMETHING I SAW WRAL ED, YOU KNOW, HAS A CATALOG OF PRICES FOR, UM, DIFFERENT KINDS OF THINGS.

AND, UH, ALSO RICH, I SAW SOME IN RICHARDSON TOO, FOR SPRING CREEK, A NATURE PRESERVE, NOT, NOT NATURE, PRESERVE NATURE PARK OR WHATEVER IT'S CALLED.

YEAH.

YEAH.

I WOULD CERTAINLY LIKE TO SEND OUT AN OPEN INVITE TO ANY FRIENDS OF, YOU KNOW, SOME OF THE BIG, UH, GARDEN, UH, NONPROFIT ASSOCIATIONS THAT WOULD LIKE TO COME TUTOR US.

AND, UH, WE JUST, WE WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN GARLAND THAT CAN BE IMPACTFUL, BUT, UM, NEEDED AS WELL.

OKAY.

JERRY CARTER.

YEAH.

MOLLY DO, HOW MANY PEOPLE GENERALLY ATTEND YOUR MEETING? THERE'S FIVE OF YOU, ARE THEY SOME MEMBERS HERE AND SOME THAT ARE JUST PART OF THE PUBLIC OR YES.

OKAY.

WELL, NO, ACTUALLY THAT'S, TO MY KNOWLEDGE, IT'S ONLY BEEN BOARD MEMBERS, UM, YOU KNOW, YEAH.

AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'S JUST BEEN BOARD MEMBERS AND OCCASIONAL CHILD AND SPOUSE.

IT GOT STUCK WITH A BOARD MEMBER.

AND THEN, AND THEN, UH, ANOTHER QUESTION, DO YOU, DO YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF, UH, I KNOW THIS IS OUR FIRST TIME BACK WHERE WE'RE GETTING STARTED UP AGAIN.

UH, BUT DO YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF A TIMELINE THAT YOU'RE TRYING TO HAVE A SET OF GOALS TO ACCOMPLISH BY CERTAIN TIMES? OR ARE WE STILL IN THE POINT OF JUST TRYING TO DETERMINE WHAT IT IS WE'RE DOING MORE THE LATTER? YEAH.

YES.

YEAH.

YOU'VE GOT A GROUP OF PEOPLE TOGETHER THAT ARE A VERY STRUCTURED GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE A LOT OF EXPERIENCE ON BOARDS AND, UH, COMPUTER TECHIE STUFF AND WEBSITE STUFF.

AND, UM, WE'RE JUST TRYING TO MAKE IT WHERE, YOU KNOW, WE TALKED ABOUT A CATALOG OF THINGS THAT, BUT IT HAS TO FIT THE REQUIREMENTS THAT IT HAS WITH THE CITY.

UH, SO THAT CATALOG HAS TO GO WITH THAT.

UM, AND WHERE WE WANT, WHERE WE WANT TO DO THAT AND HONORING THE REQUEST OF SOMEWHAT OF THE DONORS.

AND WE HAVE TO CONSIDER THAT SOME OF THAT HAS TO GO INTO ADMIN TO, UM, PAY FOR ELECTRICITY AND PRINTERS AND PAPERS AND, AND THINGS LIKE THAT.

SO WE HAVE NOT NARROWED A LOT OF THAT DOWN YET.

UM, WELL, OVER A YEAR AGO WE ATTENDED THE, UH, PARKS AND RECREATION REGIONAL REGIONAL MEETING.

UH, DID WE, DID WE GET INFORMATION THERE ON FOUNDATIONS? I'M TRYING TO REMEMBER BACK YOU AND I ATTENDED SEVERAL OF THE SAME SEMINARS THERE, NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE, BUT IT WAS SOMETHING A FORMER DIRECTOR HAD RECOMMENDED THAT BE FORMED IN GARLAND.

UM, SO IT'S SOMETHING THAT WE CAN PROVIDE WHERE THE CITY IS LIMITED ON THEIR RESOURCES THAT WE CAN COME IN AND WE CAN HELP WITH SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE PLACED IN A GARLAND PARK.

OUR FOCUS, IF, AS NARROWED AT THIS POINT TO GARLAND PARKS, WHICH HAS, YOU KNOW, THERE'S 63, I BELIEVE.

AND, UM, WE CAN'T AT THIS POINT ADDRESS EVERY ONE OF THEM, BUT WE CERTAINLY WANT TO MEET W WE'RE TRYING TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY IN THE AREAS THAT THE CITY CANNOT DO THAT.

AND HAVE YOU HAD ANY DISCUSSIONS WITH, UH, WITH THE PARKS DIRECTOR ABOUT THIS, OR HAVE YOU ALL BEEN TRYING TO STAY OUT ON YOUR OWN AND THEN GET TO A CERTAIN POINT? NO, ANDY, IT HAS BEEN A TWO WAY STREET.

ANDY HAS BEEN VERY RESPONSIVE AND, UM, YOU KNOW, WHEN WE HAVE REACHED OUT TO HIM, HE HAS BEEN RESPONSIVE AND HE'S REACHED OUT TO US WITH SOME, WITH SOME IDEAS, YOU KNOW, ONE WAS, YOU KNOW, REGARDING THE TENNIS CENTER.

SO, UM, I THINK THAT'S, YOU KNOW, LIKE I SAID, I'M NOT, I'M A BOARD MEMBER, BUT I'M NOT ON, YOU KNOW, THE, THE, WELL, WHATEVER, YOU KNOW, WE'RE NOT ONE OF THE THREE OFFICERS THAT WE HAVE, SO I'M KIND OF FARTHER DOWN THE LINE.

SO PLEASE TAKE WHAT I SAY WITH A LITTLE BIT OF GRAIN OF SALT, BUT, UM, JUST GOT SOME DEDICATED PEOPLE THAT WANT TO SEE SOMETHING HAPPEN THAT WILL HELP GARLAND AND GARLAND PARKS.

ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE'RE REALLY TALKED ABOUT DOING IS, YOU KNOW, UH, YOU KNOW, POTENTIALLY BENCHES, BUT THAT MIGHT BE SOMETHING THAT, YOU KNOW, THAT THE CITY CAN COVER.

I KNOW AN AUDUBON THAT TAKEN UP BENCHES AND, UM, I DON'T KNOW, YOU'VE GOT TO LOOK FOR A MATERIAL.

SO WE WERE LOOKING WHERE WE COULD MAYBE HAVE SOMEBODY DONATE THAT IF THAT HAPPENED.

UM, BUT YOU KNOW, WE'VE TALKED WITH, I'VE TALKED WITH MATT AND OUR

[00:15:01]

DIRECTOR.

UH, ANDY HAS BEEN VERY RESPONSIVE, I BELIEVE TO OUR PRESIDENT, WHO IS MARGARET LOOKED.

OKAY, EXCELLENT.

MIND IF I ADD A FEW WORDS THERE? SO I'VE WORKED WITH PARKS FOUNDATIONS BEFORE AND HELP SET UP THE FOUNDATION THAT IS IN RELAT.

AND WHEN WE STARTED TO PUT TOGETHER THE CATALOG AND IF PARKS FOUNDATIONS DON'T HAVE A, AND THIS IS JUST MY OPINION IN ONES THAT I'VE WORKED WITH WITHIN, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY'RE YOUNG NEED TO HAVE KIND OF GET SOME OF THOSE EARLY INITIAL WINS AND HAVE SOME FOCUS ON WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO DO.

AND AS YOU KIND OF BUILD THAT RECOGNITION AND YOU BUILD THAT, THAT BUY-IN, THEN IT'S EASIER TO HAVE LIKE A LIST OF, OF THINGS THAT ARE ON A WEBSITE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, PEOPLE THAT PEOPLE COULD DONATE.

AND SO WHAT I WOULD MAYBE RECOMMEND IS AS WORK, LIKE, LIKE ANDY'S TOLD YOU, AND I'VE TOLD YOU WHERE WE'RE WILLING TO WORK WITH YOU ONCE YOU GUYS TELL US WHAT THAT, WHAT THAT FIRST KIND OF BUCKET IS, THINGS THAT YOU WANT TO TACKLE.

I THINK THE TENNIS CENTER IS A GREAT IDEA.

THAT'S REALLY BIG MONEY, YOU KNOW, SO MAYBE THAT'S ONE AVENUE THAT YOU CAN GO.

UH, IF YOU WANT TO LOOK AT BENCHES, WE WOULD BE HAPPY TO KIND OF, WE HAVE, UH, AN INVENTORY OF WHERE ALL OF OUR BENCHES ARE AND WHERE WE KNOW WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE BENCHES AND WHERE BENCHES NEED TO BE REPLACED.

UM, SOME OF THOSE REQUIRE CONCRETE SLABS.

SO, YOU KNOW, MAYBE IT'S A WAY THAT WE COULD FURTHER THAT BUDGET IF THERE WAS A WAY TO DO IT.

SO I GUESS WHEN YOU GUYS ARE READY AND YOU KIND OF HAVE THAT STRUCTURE TOGETHER AND YOU'RE LIKE, HEY, THIS IS WHAT WE WANT TO PICK OFF FIRST.

AND WE WANT TO HAVE A, A STRUCTURED CAMPAIGN THAT WE REALLY WANT TO FOCUS ON THIS, AND THIS IS KIND OF WHAT OUR GOAL IS AND WHAT WE WANT TO DO.

UM, WE'LL DEFINITELY WORK WITH YOU AND GET YOU THE NUMBERS THAT YOU NEED AND LET YOU KNOW WHERE THEY'RE GOING TO GO AND HELP YOU KIND OF PUT THAT STUFF TOGETHER.

UM, BUT THAT YOU KIND OF, WHAT I'VE SEEN IS IF YOU CAN GET THAT FIRST WIN, THEN IT MAKES THE NEXT ONE A LITTLE BIT EASIER AND EASIER AND EASIER.

AND THEN AS PEOPLE GET TO KNOW YOU AND THAT IT'S AVAILABLE, UH, THEN YOU CAN OPEN IT UP TO A WHOLE HOST OF DIFFERENT THINGS, BUT REALLY HAVING THAT, THAT FOCUS IN THE BEGINNING, UM, IS VERY, VERY HELPFUL.

SO WHEN, WHEN YOU GUYS HAVE GOTTEN TO THAT POINT, YOU KNOW, IT, IT MAYBE RECOMMEND COMING AND GIVING A PRESENTATION TO THE PARKS BOARD AND LETTING THEM KNOW KIND OF WHAT YOU WANT THAT TO BE.

IT MIGHT BE EVEN A GOOD IDEA TO GET THEIR FEEDBACK.

UM, AND THEN WHEN YOU GUYS HAVE THAT, WHETHER IT'S BENCHES OR PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT OR WHATEVER IT IS THAT YOU'RE GOING TO WANT TO TACKLE.

YEAH.

THANK YOU.

WE'VE WORKED ON GEOCASHING, UH, AND TENNIS, UH, THAT TO, UH, GEOCASHING AND TENNIS IS SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN, UH, YEAH, WE CAN MAKE ANYWAYS.

I AM PROBABLY NOT THE BEST SPOKESMAN.

I APPRECIATE THE TIME TO, TO BE AN ADVOCATE.

UM, I WASN'T PREPARED FOR, UH, GIVING A RESPONSE AND I'M REALLY MISSING, YOU KNOW, KENYA TONIGHT, BUT, UH, UH, I THINK EVERYBODY ON THE BOARD HAS EXPRESSED AN INTEREST IN HELPING US AND WE'RE JUST A, HE BROUGHT IT UP.

THERE'S A WHOLE LOT OF WORK JUST IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE SIDE OF IT, YOU KNOW, THAT AND DOING SOME OF THIS STUFF DURING COVID HAS BEEN VERY INTERESTING TO GET FORMALIZED.

YEP.

OKAY.

ANYTHING JERRY? A QUICK ONE.

YEAH.

UM, SHOULD WE DON'T KNOW HOW FAR YOU ARE ALONG, UH, YOU KNOW, IN THE WAY THIS THING GOES, IT'S A WHOLE BUNCH OF MESSAGES UNTIL ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU GET TO START TAKING STEPS AND A QUESTION FOR YOU AND, AND FOR MATT, UH, MATT, WOULD, WOULD YOU BE AVAILABLE TO MEET WITH THE GROUP, UH, SCENES AS YOU'VE GONE THROUGH THIS BEFORE AND RALLY AT HELPING TO DELINEATE SOME FIRST STEPS WHERE WE COULD START DOWN THE ROAD, UH, FIRST OFF, WOULD YOU, WOULD YOU BE AVAILABLE TO DO THAT? YEAH, I MEAN, I WOULD BE TOTALLY AVAILABLE TO HELP GIVE SOME DIRECTIONS THAT THEY WOULD FIND THAT HELPFUL.

YOU KNOW, I STOPPED SHORT OF GIVING THEM DIRECTIONS IN WHICH WAY THEY WANT TO GO.

RIGHT.

IN TERMS OF HOW NONPROFITS WORK AND ALL OF THAT, I CAN DEFINITELY BE ABLE TO READ.

AND, AND YOU, YOU, YOU USED THE WORD TOTALLY BE CAREFUL.

UH, WOULD THAT BE, WOULD THAT BE, WOULD THAT BE FOR AN AFTER HOURS, WOULD THAT BE FOR AN AFTER HOURS MEETING OR WOULD THAT NEED TO OCCUR DURING THE DAYTIME? NO, I'LL MAKE IT WORK AROUND THEM.

CAUSE I KNOW A LOT OF THE BOARD MEMBERS HAVE DAY JOBS.

SO IF WE DO IT AFTER HOURS, 5 36 MONTHS, NO PROBLEM.

WONDERFUL.

AND THEN I GUESS LET'S GET ONE MORE NOW SEEING THIS HAS, WE'VE GOT THAT, UH, MAYBE THERE COULD BE A ROOM HERE AT CITY HALL WHERE WE COULD, WHERE WE COULD MEET.

UM, AGAIN, KEEPING THAT SEPARATION I THINK IS GOOD.

UM, AND SO, YOU KNOW, FINDING, IF YOU WANT TO REQUEST THAT YOU CITY HALL, OR IF YOU WANT TO REQUEST, YOU KNOW, TO USE A REC CENTER OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND FOLLOW UP ON THAT, I'M HAPPY TO MEET YOU WHERE YOU ARE.

UM, BUT KEEPING THAT SEPARATION BETWEEN FOUNDATION, I THINK IS A REALLY GOOD NOTE.

OKAY.

ALL RIGHT.

I THINK WE SHOULD MOVE ON.

UM, SO 20, 21, 20 22 PARKS RECREATION BUDGET IS THAT YOU, KEITH HAD, I KNOW, CAN WE DO A PARK AND RECREATION BUDGET WITHOUT YOU KEITH? I KNOW.

[00:20:01]

NOPE.

WE CAN'T EVER, I'VE NEVER SEEN IT.

UM, I'M GOING TO TRY TO MAKE THIS SHORT BECAUSE, UM, THE CITY MANAGER BASICALLY PRESENTED HIS BUDGET, UH, TO CITY COUNCIL, UH, LAST NIGHT.

AND, UM, YOU HAVE A COPY, A SMALL COPY OF THAT HERE.

UH, MAINLY THE PARKS AND RECREATION SECTION.

UM, WE WILL PRESENT, UH, THE PARKS RECREATION BUDGET TO THE CITY COUNCIL ON SATURDAY, UH, AUGUST 14TH.

UM, SO I'M NOT GOING TO GO IN DETAIL, BUT WILL POINT YOU TO PAGE 1 39.

AND THIS IS A VERY GOOD BUDGET FOR US, UH, IF APPROVED, THIS IS NOT APPROVED YET.

SO AS YOU CAN SEE, UM, AND I'M NOT GOING TO ASK YOU ALL TO ADD ALL THAT UP, BUT THAT'S ROUGHLY 1.3 MILLION THAT WE ARE GETTING ADDITIONAL TO THE PARKS RECREATION BUDGET AND THE PROPOSED BUDGET.

AND THIS IS ADDITIONAL NOT ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR.

YES, YES.

SO, UM, DON ASKED EARLIER, WE, WE DO HAVE ONE POSITION THAT, UH, IS PROPOSED TO BE APPROVED, UH, WITH THE SPLASH PADS COMING ON BOARD.

WE DO HAVE A AQUATIC TECHNICIAN, UH, BUT, UH, UH, WE WILL WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT BOARD MEETING TO GIVE YOU A LITTLE BIT MORE DETAIL EXACTLY WHAT IS IN EACH LINE ITEMS. BUT I DID WANT Y'ALL TO POINT THAT OUT.

SO IF Y'ALL DO TALK TO YOUR COUNCIL MEMBERS, JUST, YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW, JUST THANK THEM AND SUPPORT WHAT WE CAN AS FAR AS WHAT, UH, UH, IS SUBMITTED IN OUR BUDGET.

SO, UM, UH, JUST, UH, THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE LARGER ONES I'VE SEEN, UH, SINCE I'VE BEEN HERE.

SO ALL OF THE ITEMS IN THIS PARAGRAPH YOU'RE SAYING ARE TOTALING 1.3 MILLION, 1.3 MILLION, ROUGHLY 1.3, IT COULD BE 1.2 SOMETHING, BUT CLOSE, CLOSE TO 1.3 MILLION.

MR. CHAIRMAN, MR. CARTER, YOU KNOW, ME, UM, WE HAD DISCUSSIONS WHEN WE WERE LOOKING AT THE, UM, THE FUNDING FOR THE BOND ELECTION, UM, ABOUT DOING THE THINGS THAT WE'RE GIVING THE PARKS DEPARTMENT, AN OPPORTUNITY TO DO THAT WE'VE PROBABLY NEVER HAD BEFORE.

OKAY.

AND THAT, AND WE KNEW THAT THAT WAS GOING TO REQUIRE ADDITIONAL, UH, MANPOWER EQUIPMENT AND AN INCREASE IN THE BUDGET, UH, AT, AT THE 1.3 MILLION ADDITIONAL.

THAT SEEMS SIGNIFICANT, BUT IS IT SO, SO JUST TO LET YOU KNOW, FROM THE BOND MONEY, THERE'S ONLY ONE PACKETS IN HERE THAT REFERENCE THE IMPACT OF THE BOND AND THAT'S THE AQUATIC TECHNICIAN.

SO, UH, MOST OF THE OTHER ONES ARE ONE TIME MONEY.

SO IT'S JUST EQUIPMENT THAT, UH, WE'LL GET IN FOR ONE TIME.

IT COULD BE, UM, MONEY THAT, UM, UM, THAT, UH, COSTS HAS WENT UP.

UH, I HAVE IN HERE.

UM, LET'S SEE, YOU'RE ASKING ME TO DO THIS, UH, ROUGHLY, UH, 200 THOUSANDS WE HAD IN THERE FOR, UH, STORM DAMAGE THAT, UH, WE'RE ABLE TO REPAIR SOME STORM DAMAGE.

UH, WE HAVE ROUGHLY 110,000 THAT, UH, WILL HELP US IMPROVE, UH, SOME MUCH NEEDED CONCRETE AND MULCH REPAIRS, UM, UM, BASICALLY DEFER MAINTENANCE.

UM, UH, AND THEN, UH, YOU KNOW, WE'RE TRYING TO REACH OUT MORE TO ATHLETIC ORGANIZATION AND IMPROVES OUR CLASSIFICATION.

I THINK MATT ALREADY DISCUSSED WITH THE BOARD ABOUT THE DIFFERENT CLASSES.

UH, WE HAVE 75,000 AS A STARTING POINT.

THAT'S NOT ALL THE MONEY THAT WE NEED FOR THAT PROGRAM, BUT IT IS A GOOD START TO HELP WITH THAT.

UM, UH, AND THEN, LIKE I SAID, THERE'S A LOT OF MONEY IN HERE OVER 300,000 OF, UH, JUST ONE TIME FUNDING, UH, JUST TO BUY SOME EQUIPMENT THAT DEFICIT, UH, DEF WE NEED.

UM, AND THEN THERE WAS SOME MONEY IN THE BUDGET THAT, UH, BASICALLY, UH, WE HAVE MOGAN CONTRACTS THAT WAS ADDED TO THE YEARS THAT WE

[00:25:01]

NEVER GOT TRUE FUNDING FOR IT THAT, UH, WE GOT FUNNY FOR THAT.

UM, WE'VE GOT ONGOING FUNDING, ONGOING FUNDING BECAUSE TWO YEARS AGO IT WAS A ONE-TIME, BUT LAST YEAR WE DID NOT GET THE FUNDING.

SO IT WAS VERY CREATED A FINANCE THAT WE HAD TO DO TO TRY TO CAUSE THE MOWING DIDN'T STOP.

WE STILL HAD TO DO THE MOW MOWING.

SO, UH, BUT WE HAD SOME OTHER ITEMS THAT, UH, PRICE INCREASES KIND OF CRAP, A LITTLE BIT THAT WE NEEDED TO, UH, IDENTIFY.

SO WE GOT SOME FUNDING FOR THAT.

SO, UM, SO IT LOOKS LIKE, UH, WE'RE ON, UH, THIS BUDGET IS VERY NICE, UM, UM, HELPING US A LOT, BUT IT'S NOT, YOU KNOW, GOING NOT QUITE WELL.

THE ISSUE IS BASICALLY PUT A BANDAID ON IT, A BANDAID ON IT.

OKAY.

WELL, THIS, THIS HAS HAPPENED THAT WE NEED TO BE THINKING ABOUT EACH YEAR AS WAS THE BOND SPENDING THE MONEY FROM THE BOND ELECTION.

AND, UH, ADDITION OF ALL THESE TRAILS, WHEN YOU PUT ALL THESE TRAILS IN, WELL, THE FIRST THING YOU GOTTA DO IS YOU GOT TO START MAINTAINING THE AREAS AROUND THE TRAILS.

AND THE NEXT THING YOU GOTTA DO IS START, UH, PUTTING A SINKING FUND IN FOR REPLACEMENT OF CONCRETE AND THOSE TYPE THINGS, UH, AS ANY OF THAT TYPE OF THING IN HERE ARE, WAS, WOULD IT HAVE BEEN IN HERE BEFOREHAND? OH, AS NEW PROJECTS COME ON BOARD, WHAT WE WILL DO IS WE WILL SUBMIT THAT AS A BUDGET REQUEST.

SO, UM, A LOT OF THOSE NEW TRIALS WON'T HIT NEXT YEAR, BUT MOST LIKELY THE FOLLOWING YEAR.

SO THOSE MAINTENANCE ITEMS WE WILL BE IN FUTURE YEARS.

SO, UM, THE REASON WHY WE FOCUS ON THE AQUATIC TECH, BECAUSE WE'RE BASICALLY ADDING TWO SPLASH PACKS NEXT YEAR.

AND I, I MEAN, WE DON'T HAVE A TECH TO BASICALLY MAINTAIN THAT, RIGHT.

SO, SO THAT WAS OUR PRIORITY, UM, FOR NEXT YEAR, UH, AS WE GET MORE, UM, FOR EXAMPLE, AUTOBON, THERE WILL BE ADDITIONAL, UH, SUPPLIES THAT WE'LL NEED, BECAUSE NOW WE'LL HAVE A FITNESS CENTER.

SO WE HAD GOT SOME MONEY FOR SUPPLIES, UH, FOR AUDUBON.

SO, UM, AS THE BOND MONEY OR IS SPENT, WE WILL LOOK AT IT EACH YEAR TO SEE WHAT WE NEED TO ASK DURING THE BUDGET PROCESS.

BUT AS YOU'VE ALWAYS DONE, YOU'LL BE ANTICIPATING THOSE EXPENSES RIGHT BEFORE THEY, BEFORE THEY BITE YOU, CORRECT? YES.

BUT IT'S DEPENDING ON WHAT THE CITY MANAGER IS APPROVING, WE UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU ARE.

NO, WE DON'T HAVE AN INFINITE BUDGET.

CORRECT.

OKAY.

THANK YOU, SIR.

MOLLY, MR. BISHOP, YOU, UM, SO HOW ARE THE TAX RECEIPTS? UH, HOW'S THE INCOME COMING FROM THE TAXPAYERS SITTING IN THE CITY COFFERS RIGHT NOW? HOW HAS THAT LOOKING TOWARD GETTING THIS PASSED? SO, UM, THERE WAS A LOT, UM, I GUESS IF I READ OR LISTENED TO THE COUNCIL MEETING LAST NIGHT, I PROBABLY COULD ANSWER THAT BETTER.

BUT, UH, THERE WAS A LOT OF ONE-TIME MONEY THAT WAS LEFT OVER BECAUSE OF COVID OR WHATEVER REASON THAT THE CITY MANAGER WAS, UH, ABLE TO ALLOW US TO DO THAT.

SO, UM, YOU KNOW, THIS WAS NOT NEW MONEY.

MOST OF IT WAS EXISTING MONEY.

UH, THANK YOU.

AND, UM, SINCE THIS IS NOT GOING IN EFFECT UNTIL, UM, WELL, NUMBER ONE, IT'S, IT'S APPROVED, BUT WILL THE RAW MATERIALS THAT THERE'S A SHORTAGE OF WILL MAYBE SOME OF THE ANTICIPATING SOME OF THE PRICING WILL GO DOWN.

THAT'S EITHER IN SHORTAGE OR A REALLY HIGH PRICE FOR LUMBER AND CONCRETE AND WHATNOT.

I REALLY CAN'T ANSWER THAT.

SO UNFORTUNATELY WE BUDGETED BASED OFF OF WHAT WE KNEW BACK IN MARCH.

SO IF PRICE GOES UP, THOSE ARE THINGS THAT WE WILL BASICALLY GO BACK TO CITY MANAGEMENT.

WE DO HAVE A ABILITY TO DO THAT AS A MID-YEAR ADJUSTMENT, BUT THOSE ALL HAS TO GO BACK TO THE COUNCIL.

I CAN ALSO TACK ONTO THAT A LITTLE BIT.

UM, WE, WHEN WE DO THOSE PROPOSALS, WE GET THOSE PROPOSALS.

WE USUALLY BUILD IN A MINIMUM OF 10 TO 15% CONTINGENCY, KNOWING THAT YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE PRICE CHANGES, UH, KNOWING THAT ANYTIME YOU DIG UP A PIECE OF CONCRETE, YOU DIG A SHOVEL ON THE GROUND.

YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO, SO YOU HAVE TO PUT THOSE TYPES OF CONTINGENCIES IN THERE.

UM, SO BASED ON THE NUMBERS THAT WE HAVE FOR, FOR THE WORK THAT WE'RE GOING TO DO, I FEEL REALLY GOOD THAT WE'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO HIT THOSE ALWAYS ONE I'LL TAKE ONE MORE, MR. CHAIRMAN, I'M SORRY, ONE MORE.

OKAY.

WHICH ONE WILL IT BE? OKAY.

[00:30:01]

IN, IN THE MONDE ELECTION, UH, WITH EACH ONE OF THE PROJECTS, THERE WAS A BUILT-IN, UH, INFLATION, UH, OF UP TO 25%.

I WAS THINKING IT WAS 15 BUT 15 OR WHATEVER, BUT THERE'S A PRETTY SIGNIFICANT INFLATION OVER, UH, OVER A FOUR OR FIVE-YEAR PERIOD.

RIGHT.

UM, WHAT FOR THE PARKS PORTION OF THAT? UM, WHAT PERCENTAGE OF THE DOLLARS WILL BE SPENT, UH, IN 2021? AND WHAT PERCENTAGE IS ANTICIPATED MIGHT BE SPENDING 20, 22 AND THERE WAS, ARE WE GOING TO GET TO 15% OF THAT MONEY USE 20%, 10%? UH, WE'LL TELL YOU ALL THAT CONTINGENCY WILL BE SPENT.

A LOT OF IT WILL BE BECAUSE OF PROCESS OVERRUNS.

SO, UM, BECAUSE WE'RE ALREADY SEEING ESCALATE IN PROCESS, UH, WE'VE SEEN SOME COSTS THAT WAS PROBABLY PROJECTED A LITTLE LOW, SO IT WASN'T ENOUGH MONEY IN THE FIRST PLACE, UM, THAT, UH, SOME OF THAT CONTINGENCY WILL BE USED.

UH, AND THEN SOME OF THE CONTINGENCY MAY BE USED FOR OTHER PROJECTS WITHIN THE BOND TO HELP OVERAGES IN ANOTHER AREA.

SO, UM, UM, WE, AND HE'S BEEN VERY AGGRESSIVE IN TRYING TO GET AS MUCH DONE.

WE GOT, KINDA GOT, UH, I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'VE BEEN ON THE BOND COMMITTEE, KNOWING THAT, UH, THE COMMENTS MADE FROM THE 2004 BOND THAT PARKS DIDN'T GET ALL THE PROJECTS DONE THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN IN THE 2019, ANY LOOKING TO GET EVERYTHING DONE IF HE COULD, IN THREE YEARS OR FIVE YEARS FROM THE 2004 BOND ELECTION FROM THE 2019, WE BASICALLY, WE STILL HAVE SOME, 2004 STILL IN THE BOOKS AS OF TODAY.

SO ANDY IS IN THE PROCESS THAT MAKES SURE ALL THE 2019 MONEY IS SPENT WITHIN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS.

OKAY.

THAT'S GOING TO SHOW UP IN THE CIP, BUT THAT WILL BE IN THE CIP PART HERE THIS YEAR.

YEAH.

THAT QUESTION WAS FOR THE, FOR THE REST OF THE BOARD TO UNDERSTAND THAT THERE WAS AT THE TIME WE WERE FEELING THAT WAS FAIRLY AGGRESSIVE INFLATION, UH, ALLOWANCES IN THERE.

AND IT'S A GOOD THING THAT, UH, THAT, THAT WENT THROUGH THAT WAY.

IT WAS DIFFICULT.

THAT WAS A DIFFICULT, THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO MAKE GOING WITH THOSE LARGER PERCENTAGES, BUT WE DID IT.

OKAY, GREAT.

ANYTHING ON THIS SIDE? ANY QUESTIONS, KEITH? THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

WELL, I PRESUME THIS WILL KIND OF BE RECURRING ITEM AS WE GO THROUGH THIS.

OKAY.

AND NEXT STEP IS MONTHLY REPORTS, CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, MOLLY, MS. BISHOP, DID YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT FLOORING AT THE SENIOR CENTER? I JUST HAD MYSELF A NOTE HERE RESPONSE FROM, I THINK SO HAD A RESPONSE FROM DELETE THAT I BELIEVE THAT YOU GOT ON THE FLOORING.

UM, AND IT WAS MY UNDERSTANDING WHEN WE WERE DOING THE WORKOUT TO PRESENT TO THE BOND COMMITTEE, UH, THAT THERE WAS AN INTEREST IN HOSTING DANCE PROGRAMS AND OTHER PROGRAMS FROM OTHER CITIES IN GARLAND TO RECIPROCATE FOR GARLAND, ALWAYS HAVING TO GO TO THEIR FACILITIES.

A COMMENT WAS, UM, BROUGHT TO ME THAT WE NEEDED TO CONSIDER THE TYPE OF FLOORING THAT WAS GOING INTO THE SENIOR CENTER, BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT MEET THAT REQUIREMENT.

UM, AND SO BEFORE THAT PARTICULAR FLOORING WENT DOWN, I WANTED TO SEE, I AM NOT A BUILDING EXPERT, UH, BUILDING SUPPLY EXPERT, AND, UM, WANTED TO SEE IF PERHAPS THAT THAT WAS BEING CONSIDERED AND IF NECESSARY, GET THE APPROPRIATE FUNDING APPLIED SO THAT IT WOULD MEET THE STANDARDS FOR THE PURPOSE THAT IT WAS BEING, UM, BUILT FOR.

YEAH.

YEAH.

I CAN SPEAK ON THAT.

SO THE MULTIPURPOSE ROOM IS WHERE THEY WANT TO DO THE DANCE FLOOR, BUT REALISTICALLY IT'S A MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM.

WE USE IT FOR A DANCE AS WE USE IT FOR CLASSES, WE USE IT FOR MEALS, WE USE IT FOR EVERYTHING.

SO IT CAN'T BE STRICTLY A DANCE ROOM, A LITTLE WORD BECAUSE THEY JUST COULDN'T TAKE, IT WOULD DAMAGE THE FLOOR.

SO WE'RE LOOKING FOR A MULTIPURPOSE FLOOR.

THAT'S CAN BE USED FOR EVERYTHING.

UM, AND SO RIGHT NOW WE'RE GETTING SAMPLES OF THE FLOOR AND WHERE, MEANING WHETHER INSTRUCTORS TO MAKE SURE THAT IT'S LOOKING UP FOR THEM TO DANCE, BUT AS DURABLE

[00:35:01]

ENOUGH TO, IF THEY SPILL SOMETHING ON IT, IT'S GOING TO BE FINE.

WE'RE STILL GETTING SAMPLES.

RIGHT.

AND IT'S NOT CHANGING THE SIZE.

IT'S GOING TO BE THE SAME SIZE, THE SIZE.

AND WE ARE LIMITED WITH OUR FUNDS THAT, YEAH.

OKAY.

UM, GREAT.

ANYTHING ELSE ON A MONTHLY REPORTS? I JUST WANT TO SAY THE MOTH EVENT THAT WE DID SPRING BREAK FOR US WAS PHENOMENAL, UH, IN ATTENDANCE, UM, WE WERE ONE PARKING SPOT AND WE USE THE TERM POCKET PARKING SPOT LOOSELY FROM, UH, BEING FULL AND, UM, BUT, UH, THERE'S PROBABLY EVEN 150 PEOPLE THERE.

AND WE HAD WE'VE COLLECTED OVER WELL OVER A THOUSAND OBSERVATIONS.

AND, UH, WE HAD, UM, YOU KNOW, I DON'T KNOW, 1400 SPECIES OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT HAD A HIGH NATURAL IT'S, IT'S AMAZING.

AND WE HAD A FEW COPPERHEADS KIND OF VISITED AND, UH, ANOTHER SNAKE SHOWED UP AND SCARED THE BOY SCOUT LADY OFF ANYWAY, BUT I'M REALLY APPRECIATIVE.

I GOT ONE HERE.

YES, SIR.

OH, BASEBALL LEAGUE PARTICIPATED IN A BACK TO SCHOOL BACKPACK GIVEAWAY AT BRADFIELD RECREATION CENTER.

THEY HAD A IN AND OUT BURGER FED EVERYBODY THAT SHOWED UP.

AND, UM, IT WAS, UH, IT WAS A GREAT EVENT.

IT WAS A LOT OF PEOPLE THERE AND IT WAS RUINED REAL WELL.

UH, THE WAY THAT Y'ALL SET UP THE PARKING LOT WAS GREAT.

UM, BUT IT WAS A REAL SMOOTH EVENT AND WE HAD A GOOD TIME.

WE GOT A COUPLE OF PEOPLE SIGNED UP FOR BASEBALL OUT OF IT, YOU KNOW, PEEWEE FOOTBALL WAS THERE AND BASKETBALL.

I MEAN, UH, SOFTBALL WAS THERE.

AND SO, UH, IT WAS, UH, IT WAS A REAL GOOD EVENT.

OKAY.

HOWARD, YOU GOT SOMETHING TO SHOW US.

YES.

SO WHEN THEY GIVE YOU A LITTLE GLIMPSE OF HOPE WORD, A REC CENTER, WE'RE NOW IN THE DESIGN PHASE OF IT.

SO THIS IS A LITTLE BIT OF WHAT WE WERE LOOKING AT DOING.

SO AS YOU CAN SEE, THIS IS GOING TO BE A TWO STORY RECREATION CENTER, ROUGHLY ABOUT 30,000 SQUARE FEET, JUST STRICTLY FOR THE RECREATION CENTER ITSELF.

UM, SO THAT'S WHAT IT'S GOING TO LOOK LIKE.

THIS IS THE RENDERINGS THAT THEY'VE DONE.

IT'LL HAVE A DOUBLE GYM IN, IT WILL HAVE A FITNESS ROOM, HAVE MULTIPLE CLASSROOMS, HAVE A ELEVATED WALKING TRACK.

UM, IT'LL HAVE, UM, RESTROOMS OBVIOUSLY THROUGHOUT THE THING GAME ROOM.

SO IT'S GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT, IT'S EVEN GOING TO HAVE A DECK WHERE, AND A SECOND FLOOR WHERE PEOPLE GO IN EITHER RANT TO HOST A PARTY, OR WE COULD DO SOME CLASSES OUT THERE.

SO IT'S GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT, IT'S GOING TO BE REALLY, REALLY NICE.

SO, BUT WHAT SIZE IS PECAN GROVE OVER IN RATTLE AT THE WHOLE FACILITY? YEAH.

UH, WE JUST REPLACED ALL THE FLOORING AND ALL THE ROOMS THAT WAS 7,800 SQUARE FOOT, PLUS 3,500 SQUARE FOOT GYM, OR WEIGHT ROOM AND TWO FULL SIZED BASKETBALL COURTS, RACQUETBALL COURTS, 17TH OF A MILE WALKING TRACK.

I WAS JUST WONDERING HOW IT COMPARED SINCE I WAS STARTING TO SOUND A LITTLE FAMILIAR.

YEAH, I KNOW.

SO IT'S ALWAYS, IF YOU LOOK AT NOW FIELDS REC CENTERS, OUR LARGEST REC CENTER, AND IT'S ABOUT IT'S 20,000 SQUARE FEET.

SO, UM, ABOUT HALF AGAIN, THAT SIDE.

YEAH.

SO IT WOULD BE A, IT'LL BE A NICE LITTLE ADDITION.

SO THAT'S GOING TO BE A LITTLE GLIMPSE FROM, FROM THE TOP OF WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE, AND THERE'LL BE ORIENTED TOWARDS THE PARK MORE FRONT DOORS.

SO YOU COULD ACTUALLY TAKE IN THE PARK AND THIS BECOMES PART OF THE PARK AS OPPOSED TO AT A CORNER OF THE STREET.

AND THEN HERE, YOU WILL SEE THAT IT HAS, UH, AN ADJOINING, UM, AQUATIC CENTER, RIGHT.

IT WON'T BE JUST A SWIM POOL.

IT'LL HAVE FEATURES IN THERE.

UM, THAT HAS A LAZY RIVER MAN.

RIGHT? THAT'S SHORT ONE.

YEAH.

YEAH.

SO IT'S GOING TO BE REALLY NICE.

IT'D BE, BUT THERE'S SOME OTHER REALLY COOL FEATURES THAT ARE IN THERE.

IT'S, IT'S REALLY SHAPING UP TO BE A GREAT ASSETS.

AND HERE YOU GO HERE, YOU CAN SORT OF SEE A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING, HOW IT CONNECTS TO THE AQUATIC CENTER, AND THEN WE'LL BE ABLE TO DO A LOT OF STUFF IN BETWEEN THE POOL AND THE AQUATIC CENTER WHERE WE COULD ACTUALLY DO MORE PROGRAMMING OUTSIDE AS WELL.

WE LIKE THE WORD CONNECT.

YEAH.

OH, I WAS JUST GOING TO, I'M JUST GOING TO SAY THAT, YOU KNOW, IT APPEARS THAT THERE MAY BE SOME DEGREE OF CONNECTIVITY BETWEEN THE EVENTS HERE YOU COME FOR ONE THING, YOU CAN ENJOY THIS OR THIS OR THIS OR THIS IN ONE SPOT.

WOW.

THAT'S AMAZING.

THANK YOU, MR. CARTER.

NO SLIDES

[00:40:01]

FOR NOW, THOUGH FOR THE AQUATIC CENTER.

SORRY.

THERE'S NO SLIDES NOW.

NO, NOT, NOT FOR THIS.

OKAY.

I THOUGHT THERE WAS GOING TO BE THERE.

THERE, IT JUST HASN'T MADE IT IN THERE UNLESS IT'S BEEN PULLED OUT THE LAST TIME OR DURING IS GOING TO BE A SLIDE.

YEAH.

MR. MOREHOUSE.

AND THEN THERE'S THE BISHOP.

I GOT A QUESTION FOR YOU, BUT THOSE OF US THAT, UH, ENJOY STAIRS.

YES.

THERE ARE ACTUALLY MANY OF US ENJOYING IT.

UM, WILL YOU BE INCORPORATING SOME MEANS OF, UH, HAVING A STAIR CLIMBING ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR ELEVATED WALKWAY TO ENHANCE THE, UH, AEROBIC EXPERIENCE? YES.

IT WON'T BE LIKE, UM, WE'VE SEEN IT AT A COUPLE WHEN WE TOUR LOCATIONS, THERE'S ACTUALLY, THEY INCORPORATED AS A SET OF STAIRS WHERE YOU WALK UP AND WALK DOWN PART OF THE TRACK AND THEN SOME OF THEM ARE A BIP, SO IT'S NOT ACTUAL STAIRS.

IT'S A COST FACTOR.

RIGHT.

SO WE ARE LEANING MORE TOWARDS THE DIP RIGHT NOW FOR IT.

WE DON'T HAVE ACTUALLY HAVE STAIRS INCORPORATED.

NOW WE'RE GOING TO HAVE STAIR STEPPERS SO YOU CAN STILL GET YOUR WORKOUT, BUT IT WON'T BE PART OF THE TRACK.

WELL, THERE ARE THOSE OF US THAT LIKE TO GO DOWN TO WHAT USED TO BE CALLED CITY PLACE, BECAUSE ONE LAB IS ALMOST 400 STEPS.

MS. BISHOP.

UH, THANK YOU.

UM, REMIND ME AGAIN OF THE PRICE TAG.

OH, 30 GRAND, 30 MILLION, 30 MILLION.

AND IT'S, AND IT'S SPLINT WITH A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF, INTO THE REC CENTER AND THE REMAINDER IN THE, I WANT TO SAY 24 MILLIONS FOR THE REC CENTER, RIGHT.

I'M NOT SURE HOW MUCH MORE IS FOR THE EQUIPMENT.

AND THEN THERE'S A PARKING LOT ON THE BACKSIDE LOT.

IT'S A BIG PARKING LOT.

AND THEN OBVIOUSLY, UH, WE HAD THE BASEBALL FIELDS THERE.

WE'RE GONNA DO THE PICKLEBALL COURTS.

SO IT'S, IT'S GOING TO BE A REALLY NICE CENTRAL AREA FOR THE FOOTBALL FIELDS STILL BE THERE.

WOW.

AND, UH, WHAT IS THE, WHAT'S THE PROJECTED START DATE ON THAT? SO YOU'RE IN DESIGN AND WE'VE GOT THAT REPORT LAST TIME WHERE WE ABOUT TO COME OUT OF DESIGN.

WE'RE ABOUT TO COME OUT OF DESIGN.

SO WE'RE PROBABLY LOOKING 22 TO START DOING ANYTHING LIKE 22.

UM, CAUSE THE WAY IT FALLS RIGHT NOW, WE ARE CURRENTLY OUT OF THE EIGHT CENTERS THAT WE HAVE, SIX OF THEM ARE BEING TOUCHED OR RENOVATED IN SOME SORT OR ANOTHER.

UM, THE RIGHT NOW FEELS AND AUDUBON ARE IN THEIR RENOVATION AND THOSE WILL HOPEFULLY BE DONE IN THE NEXT MONTH OR TWO.

AND THEN ONCE THAT'S DONE, THE SENIOR CENTER WILL CLOSE, UM, FOR ABOUT EIGHT MONTHS TO 12 MONTHS WHILE THAT'S BEING DONE.

UM, AND THEN, UH, OBVIOUSLY THE ANNEX IS BEING ALSO, UH, RENOVATE IT RIGHT NOW.

SO, UM, WE'RE FINISHING THE DESIGN PHASE OF THE, THE ANNEX AS WELL.

SO PROBABLY HERE IN THE NEXT YEAR AND A HALF, YOU'LL SEE A BULK OF OUR REC CENTERS ACTUALLY LOOK TOTALLY THERE.

SO WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO THE PROGRAMMING AT THE SENIOR CENTER WHEN YOU, UH, CLOSE THIS? OKAY.

SO WHAT WE'RE DOING IS WE'RE GOING TO CLOSE THE SENIOR CENTER.

WE'RE GOING TO MOVE THE MEAL PROGRAM AND ALL THE PROGRAMS TO FIELDS REC CENTER.

SO THEY'LL, THEY'LL TAKE OVER THE PRO THE SPACE IN THE MORNINGS, UM, AND DO A LOT OF THAT STUFF THERE.

SO WE TRY TO, WE'LL STILL DO MEAL DELIVERY.

WE'LL STILL DO SOME OF THAT STUFF.

ARE WE ON TRACK, KEITH? OKAY.

I WAS WANTING TO ANSWER A QUESTION.

SO IF YOU INCLUDE EVERYTHING I HOPE FOR, UH, THAT'S INCLUDING THE FOOTBALL FIELD, LOBBYING THE NEW PHYSICIAN STEAD AREA, THE RESTROOM SHAY STRUCTURE, ADDITIONAL PARKING LOT AND NOT THE SPLIT, UH, POOL IS 26,000 AND THAT STUFF WAS PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW OVER THERE.

I MEAN, SOME OF THE STUFF WAS BUILT.

THERE'S NEW, THERE'S THE EIGHTIES OR LATE SEVENTIES.

JUST THE, SOME OF IT.

THANK YOU, MR. CARTER.

OKAY.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? OKAY.

I THINK WE'RE DOWN TO SUGGESTED AGENDA ITEMS FOR FUTURE CONSIDERATION.

SO THE FIRST ITEM IS I WILL MISS THE SEPTEMBER MEETING BECAUSE I WILL BE ON VACATION AND, UM, BASICALLY OUT OF POCKET.

SO WE'LL NEED SOMEONE TO CHAIR THE MEETING.

I BELIEVE THAT, UM, THE ORDER OF IT AS IT IS NOW IS THAT THE CHAIRMAN OF THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES WOULD BE PRESIDING AT THE MEETING.

AND THAT WOULD BE JONATHAN FERGUSON.

OKAY.

AND IF JONATHAN'S NOT AVAILABLE, THEN IT WOULD BE THE CHAIR OF THE FACILITIES AND FINANCE.

UM, DO WE NOT HAVE A, THAT WOULD BE ME, I THINK

[00:45:01]

URBAN FOREST DRI, UM, I WAS DONE WITH THIS, BUT, BUT ALSO, UM, DO YOU, SINCE WE, UM, W WE WELCOME OF COURSE OUR NEW MEMBER, BUT, UM, SINCE HE DOES NOT, YEAH.

JUST YEAH.

FIGURE IT OUT.

UM, NO, I THINK THAT WE NEED TO HAVE AN ELECTION, UH, OR APPOINTMENT OR SOMETHING AS A VICE CHAIR PERHAPS.

OR DO WE NEED TO WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER FOR THAT? WHEN WE HAVE AN UNFILLED POSITION IN OCTOBER, RIGHT? OR NOVEMBER? YES.

BUT, YOU KNOW, WE WANT TO MEET IN SEPTEMBER, BUT YOU'RE GOING TO BE GONE WHEREVER WE VOTE.

WE'RE GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER ELECTION OCTOBER, SO INDICATE VOTE TONIGHT BECAUSE IT'S, SO TIM TEMPORARILY, I'LL, WE'LL GO WITH WHAT MOLLY WAS SAYING.

SO JONATHAN DIDN'T ED, HOPEFULLY ONE OF THEM WILL BE HERE.

IF NOT MOLLY, IT'LL BE YEARS BEFORE I CAN HANDLE IT.

I THINK YOU CAN HANDLE IT.

UM, OKAY.

UM, SO SECURITY, I'D LIKE, YOU KNOW, WE'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THAT AND I THINK OCTOBER WORKS ON MY SCHEDULE.

IT'S PRETTY IMPORTANT TO ME.

I WAS ALSO THINKING THAT IT MIGHT BE ABOUT TIME FOR A PARK TOUR WHEN HE GETS NICE AND COOL.

WE'VE DONE THAT IN THE PAST.

I WAS, I WAS HEARING THAT WE PERHAPS HAVE SOME REC CENTERS THAT ARE COMING BACK ONLINE THAT HAVE BEEN RENOVATED, COULD PERHAPS WE VISIT THOSE THAT CAN BE DONE IN EITHER AS A, AS A MEETING OR AS A SEPARATE ACTIVITY ON CAN.

ANYONE CAN JUST SEE THE STATUS OF SOME OF THESE THINGS.

SEE IF WE HAVE ANY OLYMPIC SKATERS THERE YET.

CAN YOU, CAN YOU, UM, DRIVE THE VAN, MATT, IT SEEMS TO BE PART OF YOUR POSITION SOMETIMES TO, OKAY.

YOU DO HAVE TO HIT EVERY POTHOLE IN THE STREET TO KEEP UP WITH THE BARRIER.

YEAH.

I'LL TALK TO ANDY ABOUT IT AND YEAH.

JUST TO GIVE IT A CONSIDERATION.

YEAH.

WE'LL SEE IF IT MOVES INTO EARLY NEXT YEAR OR SOMETHING.

JUST, I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THERE'S USUALLY WE DO IT IN THE HEAT OF SUMMER PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS.

YEAH.

BUT PROBABLY THIS FALL, WE KNOW AUTOBON WILL BE DONE.

GRANGER HAS DONE.

IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN OVER THERE.

I DON'T KNOW WHEN FIELD'S ALBERT LEFT.

I DON'T KNOW WHEN FIELDS IS PLANNED NOT GOING TO BE COMPLETED.

YEAH.

SO LET ME LOOK, LET'S LOOK, LET US DO SOME RESEARCH AND FIND OUT WHEN THINGS ARE GOING TO BE COMPLETED AND WE'LL COME UP AND PUT IT ON OUR CALENDAR.

DEFINITELY.

OKAY.

MR. CARTER.

YEAH, JUST, JUST A QUICKIE HERE.

UH, WE, WE HAVE THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE HALLIBURTON REC CENTER EXPANSION DESIGN IS UNDERWAY.

UH, BUT THIS IS ALSO IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE NEW LIBRARY THAT'S THERE.

AND, UH, I'D LIKE TO GET, UH, SOME KIND OF, UH, IF WE'RE, IF WE'RE TO THE POINT OF HAVING A PRELIMINARY SITE PLAN OF HOW THAT MAY WORK, UH, OVER THERE, UH, HOW THE, YOU KNOW, WE'RE TRYING TO TIE THOSE TWO TOGETHER IN SOME OF THEIR USES.

THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY'RE PHYSICALLY TOGETHER, BUT THEY'RE WITHIN EASY STRIKING DISTANCE OF EACH OTHER.

AND IT'D BE NICE TO SEE HOW THE, HOW THE LIBRARY'S LOOKING.

THANK YOU, SIR.

YEAH.

I ASKED TO BE PUT ON THE AGENDA IN JULY OF 2019.

AND, UM, SO I LIKE TO BRING IT UP AGAIN.

THE PRESIDENT OF OUR LEAGUE, UM, WOULD LIKE TO, UH, ADDRESS MAYBE HAVING BATTING CAGES BY THE BALL FIELD AND WE'D BE WILLING TO COST SHARE, HELP PAY FOR IT IF NECESSARY CENTRAL PARK.

YES.

YES.

THAT'D BE A GOOD PARTNER WITH PARKS FOUNDATION AND THAT'S THE KIND OF THING SOMEONE MIGHT PITCH IN AND HELP OUT ON IT.

AND THEN SHE'S STILL GOING TO BE AN ISSUE, BUT WE'LL GO INTO FULL FIGURE THAT WE'LL FIGURE THAT OUT.

NOT THAT OTHER ARMORY BUILDING DOWN.

UM, IS THERE AN UPDATE FOR THE SENIOR CENTER, THE SENIOR CENTER THAT I JUST DIDN'T SEE IN TERMS OF, WELL, IS THAT HANDLED BY ANOTHER GROUP? I KNOW THE, ALL THESE ARTS AND CULTURAL, CULTURAL ARTS ADS ARE BEING HANDLED BY SOMETHING OUTSIDE OF OUR BOARD, BUT I REALLY THOUGHT WE WERE THE, ARE WE, ARE WE ONLY TO ADDRESS THE PARKS AND REC AND THE SENIOR CENTER? ISN'T PART OF THAT, IS THAT HANDLED BY SENIOR ADVISORY.

IT'S STILL A PARKING

[00:50:01]

FACILITY.

WHAT, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT THE SENIOR ADVISORY BOARD DOES AND WHAT WE DO YEAH.

FOCUSED STRICTLY ON THE SENIORS AND THE ACTIVITIES FOR MOSTLY PROGRAMMING.

YES.

OKAY.

WELL, PRIMARILY THEY WILL DO.

YEAH.

OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

WE CAN ADD THAT TOO.

WELL.

CAN, CAN WE JUST PUT IT IN THE BACK HERE OR CENTER FOR, WELL, IT'S THE ONE, ONE PARAGRAPH THING HERE? WELL, I MEAN, I THINK, UH, I THINK IT RIGHT NOW IS SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER.

YEAH.

YOU KNOW, SOMETHING THAT WE'VE DONE IN THE PAST WHEN WE HAD THE BOXING CLUB UP HERE AND WE'VE HAD OTHER PEOPLE UP HERE, IT MIGHT BE NICE TO GET, OR HAVE THE LEADERSHIP OF THAT GROUP COME UP AND MAKE A PRESENTATION, UH, TO THE BOARD.

AND THAT WAY THEY WOULD KNOW THAT WE'RE INTERESTED IN THEM AND WE'D HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT THEY'RE DOING.

GOOD START MOLLY.

I DON'T KNOW THAT WE WANT TO REQUIRE THEM TO MAKE A PRESENTATION, BUT WE CERTAINLY WANT TO INVITE THEM TO HAVE INPUT.

UM, BUT I DON'T WANNA, YOU KNOW, MAKE THEM, YOU KNOW, GET AN UPDATE ON WHAT THEIR DEPRESSION DANCE FOR THEIR SUPPER OR WHATEVER IT IS.

I GOT TO MAKE THE BASEBALL GUYS DO THAT TOO.

SYNC.

IS IT SAYING SYNC? SEE, MY, MY MIND IS DANCE FLOOR, SO, ALL RIGHT.

SO SOMETHING ON THE SENIOR CENTER, UM, I DO LIKE THE, THE PRESENTATION FROM THE SPORT ASSOCIATIONS, YOU KNOW, IS THAT I'D BE REALLY INTERESTED IN WHAT CRICKET DOES BUSY ON SATURDAY.

YEAH.

HEY, WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT, THEY, THEY BROUGHT BACK.

GREAT.

INTERESTING.

YEAH.

THEY EXPLAINED IT AND WE GOT A WHOLE NEW GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT WOULD LIKE TO HEAR OUT.

YEAH.

HADN'T SKATEBOARDING.

UM, ANYTHING ELSE FOR FUTURE AGENDA? SO THEN THE ELECTIONS ARE OCTOBER.

I THINK THAT'S ABOUT RIGHT.

YEAH.

I WON'T BE HERE IN SEPTEMBER 1ST.

RIGHT? MR. CHAIRMAN.

THIS IS NOT A FUTURE AGENDA FOR THROUGH THE FUTURE AGENDA, BUT WITH OUR NEW MEMBER, WE HAVE HIM INTRODUCE HIMSELF AND GIVE US HIS, HIS BACKGROUND.

KEEP IT LIMITED TO 35 MINUTES.

OKAY.

OR IS THAT THREE AND A HALF MINUTES? I'M SORRY, JASON.

WELL, JASON AND GARY, FOR ANYBODY WHO DOESN'T KNOW ME, UH, I'VE LIVED IN GARLAND NOW FOUR YEARS GOING ON FOUR YEARS, I'VE BEEN INVOLVED IN PARKS AND RECREATION THOUGH FOR I'M GOING INTO MY 16TH YEAR.

UH, WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY STARTED AT THE VERY BOTTOM, BEING A DECADE, DOING SUMMER CAMPS.

AND NOW I'VE MANAGED A COMMUNITY CENTER IN RELAT.

IT'S BEEN A, IT'S BEEN A LONG, STRANGE TRIP IF THEY SAY, AH, BUT, UH, WE'RE HERE.

WELL, ONE THING I LEARNED ABOUT PARKS IS IT'S A SMALL COMMUNITY, SO THERE'S ONLY A HANDFUL OF US THERE.

YEAH.

SO THAT'S A GREAT THING ABOUT GOING INTO THE TRAPS NORTH REGION IS YOU SEE HOW CLOSE THEY ALL ARE.

YOU CAN'T HAVE THAT TOO.

PERHAPS THAT SHOULD BE COMING UP SOON TO NOVEMBER.

WHERE'S IT GOING TO BE? I KNOW I SAW IT SOMEWHERE THIS YEAR.

FRISCO OR ALLEN, OF COURSE FOR THE THAT'S THE REGIONAL ONE, RIGHT? THE STATE ONE IS DOWN IN THE REGIONAL ONES.

ONE, WE ATTENDED A COUPLE OF YEARS AND THAT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE.

I'D NOT LIKE TO SEE IF WE COULDN'T DO A COUPLE OF THEM WRANGLING INVITATIONS.

THEY CAN DO THAT AGAIN.

THEY'LL GO TO THE FRISCO ONE.

YES.

WERE OUTSTANDING.

THEY HAVE REALLY IMPROVED FROM, YOU KNOW, I WAS UNDER THE ONES EARLY ON THAT RUNS THE SKEET.

THEY HAVE REALLY CHANGED IN THE QUALITY.

AND I WENT TO ONE IN ROCKWALL ANYWAY.

SO TRA TRAPS, I SPOKE AT THAT ONE QUARTER COURTYARD, WIRE OUTLET AND ALLEN.

OKAY.

VERY GOOD.

THAT'S EASY.

YEAH.

JULY, NO, NOVEMBER.

I DON'T REMEMBER.

I THINK YEAH.

NOVEMBER IS REGIONAL AND THEN FEBRUARY EARLY MARCHES.

STATE.

YEAH.

YEAH.

NOVEMBER IS MUCH MORE.

AND BY US HAVING THIS DISCUSSION NOW, WILL THAT GET TRANSLATED UP TO ANDY TO SEE IF WHOEVER'S GOING TO HANDLE THAT YOU GOT THAT.

AND MATT, I MEAN, THAT, THAT REALLY WAS A VERY INFORMATIVE DAY.

IT REALLY WAS.

RIGHT.

ANYTHING ELSE? I SEE.

7 58 AND WE'RE ADJOURNED.

THANK

[00:55:01]

YOU EVERYBODY FEELING ANDY, WE DIDN'T MISS HIM AT ALL.
