PROCUREMENT PROFESSIONALS DEDICATE THEMSELVES TO PROVIDING THE BEST VALUE FOR EACH TAXPAYER DOLLAR.

THEY PROVIDE STRATEGIC, LOGISTICAL AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE CITY, AND THEY DEDICATE THEMSELVES TO EXPANDING THEIR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD. IN ADDITION TO THE PURCHASE OF GOODS AND SERVICES, PROCUREMENT ADDS VALUE BY PERFORMING SUCH FUNCTIONS AS EXECUTING, IMPLEMENTING AND ADMINISTERING CONTRACTS, DEVELOPING STRATEGIC PROCUREMENT STRATEGIES, AND CULTIVATING WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH SUPPLIERS AND OTHER DEPARTMENTS WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION.

SO THE APPLICANT HAS BROUGHT FORWARD A DETAILED PLAN FOR THIS CHURCH.

THE PROPERTY TO THE EAST IS ZONE P FOR RESIDENTIAL AND IT'S CURRENTLY VACANT.

PROPERTIES TO THE SOUTH ARE DEVELOPED WITH SINGLE FAMILY, RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY AND PROPERTY TO THE WEST, THERE IS A NURSING FACILITY WHICH IS PART OF THIS PD.

THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE ENVISION GARLAND PLAN DESIGNATES THE SUBJECT PROPERTY AS COMPACT NEIGHBORHOODS, AND THIS USE IS SUPPORTIVE TO THE SURROUNDING AREA.

THE INTENT FOR THOSE FOR THIS SITE IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME, BUT IT IS SUBJECT TO DETAILED PLAN APPROVAL PRIOR TO DEVELOPMENT, AND THIS IS THE PROPOSED LOCATION OF THE CHURCH, AND IT DOES MEET WHAT THE PARKING REQUIREMENTS AND THE ACCESS WILL BE FROM NAME AND SCHOOL AND PLEASANT VALLEY AND OVER HERE YOU CAN SEE WHERE MY CURSOR IS, THERE IS A LOADING AREA WHICH IS REQUIRED PER THE GARLAND DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR DELIVERIES AND IT IS WITHIN THE SETBACK, AND IT'S A DEVIATION THAT I'LL GO OVER IN JUST A MOMENT AND THEN TO THE OVER HERE NEAR THE BUILDING WHERE IT'S LABELED AS LOADING AREA, THAT'S ACTUALLY A DROP OFF AREA FOR THE CHURCH MEMBERS. THIS IS THE PROPOSED LANDSCAPE PLAN AND IT DOES COMPLY WITH THE SCREENING AND LANDSCAPING STANDARDS PER THE GDC, AND THEY ARE PROVIDING A MASONRY SCREENING WALL THAT'S ADJACENT TO THE RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES.

THIS IS THE BUILDING ELEVATIONS AND IT COMPLIES WITH THE BUILDING DESIGN STANDARDS PER THE GDC. THIS IS THE DEVIATION TABLE AND THE ONLY DEVIATION IS FOR THE LOADING SPACE.

THE GDC REQUIRES THAT LOADING SPACES CANNOT BE LOCATED WITHIN A BUILDING SETBACK, AND THE LOADING SPACE IS LOCATED WITHIN THE BUILDING SETBACK, AND THIS DEVIATION IS NEEDED IN ORDER TO AVOID THE PLACEMENT OF THE LOADING AREA NEAR THE STREET SIDE OF THE BUILDING,
