ALL RIGHT.

[Downtown Area Tax Increment Finance Board on April 27, 2022.]

VERY GOOD.

IT IS APRIL 27TH AND IT IS 1206, ALMOST 1207.

WE WILL CALL THE GARLAND DOWNTOWN TICK BOARD MEETING TO ORDER.

FIRST BUSINESS IS TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM OCTOBER 27TH, 2021.

DO WE HAVE, LET'S SEE, I THINK THAT THIS NEEDS TO BE MOVED, GETTING MY ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDER TOGETHER.

AND, UM, SECOND, DO WE HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE A MOTION? VERY GOOD.

DO WE HAVE A SECOND? VERY GOOD.

ALRIGHT.

ALL IN FAVOR OF APPROVING OCTOBER 27TH, 2020 ONES MEETINGS, PLEASE SAY AYE.

AYE.

ANY OPPOSED? OKAY.

THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED AS PRESENTED IN OUR GENERAL UPDATES ON EXISTING PROJECTS, TISHA.

WELL, GOOD AFTERNOON, EVERYONE.

SO GOOD TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN.

AND SOME NEW FACES AS WELL AS WE HAVE DONE IN THE PAST.

WE'D LIKE JUST TO KIND OF GO OVER SOME EXISTING PROJECTS AND GIVE YOU A PROGRESS REPORT ON WHAT ALL IS HAPPENING IN DOWNTOWN.

SO UNDER MANAGED DISTRICT SERVICES, I'M HAPPY TO SHARE THAT WE WRAPPED UP OUR MARKETING ASSESSMENT WITH CIVIC BRAND AND HAVE COME AWAY WITH THAT WITH A REALLY GREAT ROADMAP FOR CONSTRUCTION ACTIVATION, UM, AND HOW WE WILL REALLY POSITION DOWNTOWN THROUGHOUT THIS PROJECT TO BE, UM, A DESTINATION FOR LOCALS AND VISITORS.

SO SOME OF THE INITIATIVES THAT ARE CURRENTLY UNDERWAY TO REALLY TAKE THE POSITION OF ACTIVATING DOWNTOWN RATHER THAN SITTING BACK, UM, WHILE WE'RE MAKING OUR WAY THROUGH THIS PROJECT AND HOPING THAT FOLKS DON'T NOTICE THE DUST WHILE WE HAVE SUCH GREAT PROGRESS UNDERWAY.

UM, WE HAVE SOME INITIATIVES THAT REALLY TAKE THE TONE OF ENSURING FOLKS KNOW THAT THEY'VE ARRIVED IN DOWNTOWN GARLAND AND THEN ENCOURAGE THEM TO HOPEFULLY STAY A WHILE.

ONE OF THOSE INITIATIVES ARE SOME BRANDED DOWNTOWN GARLAND POLE BANNERS.

UM, WE'RE ABOUT 50% ALONG THE WAY, AS FAR AS OUR PARKS TEAM, INSTALLING THOSE BANNERS THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT.

BUT WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THESE MAINERS IS YOU'LL SEE, THEY REPRESENT SPECIAL PLACES THROUGHOUT DOWNTOWN, UM, AND PEOPLE AS WELL, TEAM DOWNTOWN, UH, HIT THE STREETS IN JANUARY.

YOU'LL RECALL THIS IS OUR CONCIERGE SERVICES PROGRAM AND INITIATIVE.

IT'S REALLY GEARED TOWARDS CREATING A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT FOR LOCALS AND VISITORS AS THEY COME DOWNTOWN, ENSURING THAT FOLKS KNOW BUSINESSES ARE OPEN, ESPECIALLY THOSE IMMEDIATELY IMPACTED BY THE CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY.

UM, MAKING SURE PEOPLE KNOW WHERE TO PARK AS FAR AS PUBLIC PARKING AND ADDITIONALLY JUST PROVIDING RESOURCES OF INFORMATION ON THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ITSELF.

I'D LIKE TO SHARE SOME OF OUR METRICS WITH YOU THERE.

SO TO DATE, WE'VE ENGAGED 25 VOLUNTEERS, UM, TO COVER THESE TEAM DOWNTOWN SHIFTS.

AND ON AVERAGE, THESE FOLKS CONNECT WITH ABOUT 12 PATRONS PER TWO HOUR SHIFT.

AND IN TOTAL, THE VOLUNTEERS HAVE INTERACTED WITH OVER 300 DOWNTOWN LOCALS AND VISITORS.

THIS HAS BEEN A PROGRAM THAT HUNTER HAS REALLY BEEN THE LEAD ON WHEN HE FIRST CAME ON BOARD WITH US AND HE'S REALLY MADE SOME GREAT PROGRESS AS FAR AS RECRUITING VOLUNTEERS, UM, AND CREATING THIS PROGRAM TO SUPPORT OUR BUSINESSES THROUGHOUT CONSTRUCTION.

UH, WE'VE PARTNERED WITH THE CHAMBER FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW ON SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY, WHICH SERVED AS THE KICKOFF TO A DISTRICT WIDE CAMPAIGN FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON DOWNTOWN GARLAND FOR CHRISTMAS, WHICH WE'LL TALK ABOUT, UH, IN MORE DETAIL HERE SHORTLY, WE HAD 25 BUSINESSES PARTICIPATE IN SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY, AND IT BEING THE FIRST SATURDAY OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON, WE HAD OVER 85 SHOPPERS CHECK-IN TO RECEIVE THEIR HOLIDAY SHOPPING GUIDE AND A COMPLIMENTARY HOLIDAY BEVERAGE AND A NEW TOUCH ADDED THIS YEAR, PARTICIPATING BUSINESSES GIFTED, A HOLIDAY OR AN ORNAMENT TO CUSTOMERS, UM, AND JUST REALLY AGAIN, CREATED A FUN SHOPPING ENVIRONMENT FOR THAT TIME OF THE YEAR.

AND WE BROUGHT BACK THE, MAKE YOUR OWN ORNAMENT FOR THE COLORFUL TREES AT 5 0 6 ART AS WELL.

WE'RE HAPPY TO SHARE THAT DOWNTOWN GARLAND WAS NAMED THE, UH, 2021 TEXAS DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION AWARD WINNER FOR THE RESILIENCY AWARD FOR A POPULATION OF OVER 50,000.

THIS WAS FOR OUR 2020 FAIR FAIR CAMPAIGN, WHICH YOU'RE ALL VERY FAMILIAR WITH.

THAT CAMPAIGN CAME OUT OF THE PANDEMIC AND WE HAD 14 RESTAURANTS REALLY MAKE THAT CAMPAIGN POSSIBLE.

UM, AND, AND CREATING SPECIAL, FAIR, FAIR ITEMS TO OFFER THROUGH THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER.

YEAH, IT W I MEAN, WE'RE EXCITED TO, UM, WE'LL BE RECEIVING PLAQUES FOR EACH OF THE PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS AND DELIVERING THOSE HERE SHORTLY AS WELL.

AND THEN I'D ALSO LIKE TO SHARE THAT WE'VE BROUGHT BACK THE SMALL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT SERIES, WHICH ORIGINATED PER THE

[00:05:01]

DIRECTION OF THIS BOARD.

UM, ALSO ORIGINALLY IN RESPONSE TO THE PANDEMIC, BUT NOW WE'VE BROUGHT BACK A SECOND ROUND OF THAT TO REALLY SPEAK TO THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ITSELF.

SO WE'RE WORKING WITH BUSINESSES AS THEY'RE IMPACTED BY CONSTRUCTION AND MEETING WITH THEM, HEARING THEIR STORY FROM BEHIND THE SCENES OF THEIR BUSINESS, AND THEN HEARING THEIR PERCEPTION OF THE PROJECT AND HOW IT WILL IMPACT THEM IN THE FUTURE.

AND WE'D LIKE TO SHARE ONE OF THOSE EXAMPLES.

SO FINGERS CROSSED THAT THIS VIDEO WILL PLAY.

HM.

I'D LIKE TO SHOW IT TO YOU.

SURE.

I GUESS I HAVE TO GO TO THE ACTUAL, AND SOMETIMES IF YOU EXITED OUT OF THE POWERPOINT, GET BACK IN THAT WILL CHANGE IT.

I JUST DON'T HAVE A GOOD TRACK RECORD OF PLAYING VIDEOS FOR YOU GUYS.

FOR SOME REASON NOT WORKING.

WE DIDN'T GIVE IT A WHIRL.

YEAH, THAT'S TRUE.

YOU CAN'T BE LITTLE BEAR WITH US.

WE'LL PULL IT UP ON YOUTUBE FOR GOOD.

AH, THERE YOU GO.

I'M GLAD IT'S ON YOUTUBE THOUGH.

AND THIS IS ON GARLAND'S YOUTUBE CHANNEL.

THIS VIDEO WILL BE ACTUALLY POWERED ON VISIT GARLAND OR VISITOR SORT OF TOURISM, DESTINATION MARTIN MARLIN LOVE THAT SEARCHABLE VISIBILITY HEY, I'M DAVID NORDYKE AND WELCOME TO ROSLYN COFFEE.

WE ARE A LOCAL CRAFT COFFEE SHOP.

WE SOURCED THE BEANS OURSELVES.

WE ROAST THE BEANS OURSELVES.

WE'LL MAKE OUR OWN SYRUPS.

EVERYTHING WE DO IS REALLY HANDCRAFTED.

IT'S REALLY WITH THE INTENT OF SERVING THE VERY BEST COFFEE IN GARLAND.

LOOK AT SOME OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE FW FOR OPENING A COFFEE SHOP, BUT WE DID RECOGNIZE THAT IN GARLAND, THERE WAS A NEED FOR REALLY GOOD QUALITY COFFEE WITH THE SQUARE AND THE OTHER BUSINESSES AROUND HERE.

IT REALLY WAS THE PERFECT SPOT.

IT'S A PLACE THAT REALLY TAKES YOU BACK.

LIKE THERE'S A LOT OF NOSTALGIA DOWN HERE AND THERE'S A LOT OF, UM, UH, BUILDINGS AND LANDMARKS AND, UM, OPPORTUNITIES TO ENGAGE WITH THE PAST AS FORWARD MOVING AS WE ARE IN 2021, IT'S ALSO NICE AND COMFORTING TO, UH, TAKE A STEP BACK AND ENGAGE WITH SOMETHING THAT IS OLD AS WELL.

AND SO I THINK THE CHARM OF THAT IS DOWN IN THE SQUARES IS A RESULT OF SOME OF THE OLD LANDMARKS AND THE OLD BUILDINGS THAT YOU JUST DON'T SEE, ARCHITECTURE AND STYLE LIKE THAT ANYMORE.

AND THEN ALSO THE PEOPLE ARE THEMSELVES VERY UNIQUE AND THEIR BUSINESSES AND PERSONALITIES ARE UNIQUE.

AND SO YOU CAN GET THINGS IN THE SQUARE AND DOWNTOWN BERLIN, THEN YOU CAN'T GET ANYWHERE, ANYWHERE IN THE GARLAND AND MUCH LESS.

EVERY ONE OF THE BUSINESS OWNERS DOWN HERE IS DOING SOMETHING THAT THEY REALLY LOVE AND THEY'RE DOING IT BECAUSE THEY'RE PASSIONATE ABOUT IT.

AND WHEN YOU BUY AND SHOP LOCAL, UM, YOU GET TO PARTICIPATE IN THAT PASSION.

YOU GET TO, UM, CATCH A LITTLE BIT OF THAT LOVE THAT THAT BUSINESS OWNER HAS FOR THEIR OWN PLACE THAT YOU MAY NOT GET WHEN YOU DON'T SHOP LOCAL.

AND I THINK YOU ALSO GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE SOMETHING REALLY CRAFT REALLY UNIQUE.

UM, AND IT'S SOMETHING THAT SOMEONE'S PUT A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT AND HEART AND SOUL INTO CERTAINLY EXCITED ABOUT THE END RESULT.

I MEAN, THE, THE, THE VISION IS AMAZING AND WE NEED SOMETHING LIKE THAT DOWN HERE.

AND SO IT'S GOING TO BE REALLY SPECIAL AND IT'S DONE, BUT OF COURSE, UM, I'M A LITTLE NERVOUS.

[00:10:01]

I DO HOPE THAT WHEN PEOPLE DO DECIDE TO COME DOWN HERE AND THAT THEY AREN'T DETERRED BY THE THINGS THAT THEY SEE GOING ON, THAT MAYBE THEY'RE ACTUALLY EXCITED ABOUT IT, THAT, HEY, SOMETHING'S CHANGING SOMEBODY WHO'S COMING.

AND THEN THEY'RE WILLING TO ROLL THROUGH THIS WITH US, ALL THE THINGS THAT WE DO EACH AND EVERY DAY, WE'RE STILL GOING TO BE DOING THAT.

AND WE STILL LOVE THEM TO COME DOWN AND ENJOY WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER.

SO WE HAVE A SERIES OF THOSE.

THANK YOU.

UM, WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH AGAIN, UH, BUSINESSES AS THEY, THAT'S A GREAT ONE TOO.

UM, AGAIN, WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH BUSINESSES AS THEY'RE IMMEDIATELY IMPACTED BY CONSTRUCTION SO THAT IT CAN TIME WITH WHEN THEY'LL SEE THE MOST DIRT IN FRONT OF THEIR STOREFRONT.

UM, LET ME GET US BACK ON TRACK.

AND NEXT STEP, WE'LL TALK ABOUT THE REVITALIZATION PROGRAM.

SO FOR THE BOARD'S REQUEST, WE WILL KEEP THIS AS A STANDING ITEM ON THE AGENDA, JUST A GENERAL UPDATE AT OUR QUARTERLY MEETINGS IN REGARDS TO WHAT THE PROGRAM HAS ACCOMPLISHED.

SO, UM, WE'RE HAPPY TO SHARE THAT THE SUCCESS OF THIS INITIATIVE HAS REALLY MADE POSSIBLE IN PARTNERSHIP, OBVIOUSLY WITH THE PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS, SEVEN PROJECTS IN DOWNTOWN FOCUS TOWARDS RE-INVESTMENT IN THE DISTRICT.

THIS TABLE SUMMARIZES THE APPROVED PROJECTS TO DATE.

AND I'LL NOTE THAT THE LAST TWO PROJECTS HAVE BEEN APPROVED, TENTATIVELY PENDING SOME UPDATES, UM, TO DESIGN AND PART OF THE SCOPE, UM, REGARDING FEEDBACK FROM THE REVIEW COMMITTEE, THIS PROJECT WAS RECENTLY COMPLETED AND HAS EVEN A PROCESS FOR REIMBURSEMENT.

SO THIS WAS ADDITIONAL SIGNAGE FOR TWO BUSINESSES UNDER ONE STOREFRONT IN DOWNTOWN, AND SOME MINOR INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS THAT THE PROXY AND KAREN WISEMAN, AND THEN AN UPDATE ON 700 MAIN STREET.

I BELIEVE WE PRESENTED THIS TO THE BOARD LAST TIME AS WELL, BUT JUST TO SHARE WITH YOU THAT WHAT WAS ONCE KNOWN AS WILD GRACE, A BOUTIQUE IS BEING TRANSFORMED INTO LETHAM BAKERY AND I'M IN A MUCH ANTICIPATED PROJECT AND SHOULD BE COMPLETED THIS SUMMER, AND THEN JUST A PRIMER ON THOSE LAST TWO PROJECTS.

SO A 500 MAIN STREET FORMERLY GARLAND FURNITURE HAS, UH, REQUESTED SUPPORT IN THEIR FACADE IMPROVEMENTS AND REALLY TRANSFORMING THAT, UM, DESTINATION LOCATION INTO A NEW STOREFRONT AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY.

AND THEN 5 0 7 WEST STATE STREET.

UM, WE'LL BE ADDING A ROOFTOP DECK AND EXPANDING, UH, KITCHEN STORAGE WITHIN THEIR PROPERTY AS WELL.

ENHANCED SQUARE PROGRAMMING.

SO THIRSTY THIRD THURSDAYS IT'S ON ITS THIRD ROUND.

YES.

YES.

THIRD ROUND SECOND ROUND OF 2.0, SO THAT'S OUR EXTENDED HOURS CAMPAIGN ON THE THIRD THURSDAY OF THE MONTH.

UM, IT'S BEEN QUITE SUCCESSFUL.

THE EVENT HAS AVERAGED AROUND 32 ATTENDEES PER NIGHT FOR THE SPRING SEASON.

AND THIS, UH, THIS TIME AROUND, WE HAVE 11 BUSINESSES PARTICIPATING AND WE CONTINUE TO PARTNER WITH THE LANDMARK MUSEUM AS THE HOST LOCATION, WHERE FOLKS GO CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT, UH, DOWNTOWN GARLAND FOR CHRISTMAS.

AS I MENTIONED EARLIER, WAS A SEASON LONG COLLABORATION BETWEEN BUSINESS AND PROPERTY OWNERS, THE GDPA AND THE CITY.

SO THE CAMPAIGN INCLUDED A HOLIDAY SHOPPING GUIDE, WHICH FOLKS RECEIVED, UH, IN PURSE OR IN PRINT RATHER WHEN THEY CHECKED IN ON SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY.

AND THIS REALLY SHOWCASED ALL OF THE PARTICIPATING BUSINESSES IN DOWNTOWN WITH GREAT, UM, VISUAL REPRESENTATION OF THEIR PRODUCT, AND THEN JUST A SHOPPING MAP AS WELL.

AND THEN WE HAD THAT AVAILABLE IN DIGITAL FORMAT.

I BELIEVE THIS IS WHILE I WAS AT HOME, A HUNDRED DEGREES JOB.

UH, AND THEN ADDITIONALLY, AS SOME OTHER COMPONENTS OF THAT PROGRAM, WE HAVE, UH, THE HOLIDAY STOREFRONT CONTEST ONCE AGAIN AND HAD A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF PARTICIPATION.

I B I BELIEVE LAST YEAR WE ONLY HAD 11 BUSINESSES PARTICIPATE IN HUNTER, HUNTER RECRUITED 2021 BUSINESSES TO PARTICIPATE.

SO REALLY JUST ADDING TO THAT HOLIDAY VIBE THROUGH THROUGHOUT THE SEASON OR DOWNTOWN THE GBA, HOSTED SEVERAL SENSATIONAL EVENTS AND, UM, REALLY JUST EVERYTHING CAME TOGETHER FOR A NICE CAMPAIGN THROUGHOUT THE HOLIDAY SEASON.

THE HOLIDAY STOREFRONT CONTEST REACHED ALMOST 23,000

[00:15:01]

ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND IT GARNERED ALMOST 11,000 UNIQUE POST ENGAGEMENTS.

WE CONTINUE TO HAVE FUN AND OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE URBAN MARKET AS THEIR SPONSOR FOR THEIR FIRST 100 ATTENDEES GIVEAWAY THEME FOR THE MONTH, UH, FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON, UM, WE ACQUIRED A HUNDRED POINT SETUPS AND JUST LAST MONTH, A HUNDRED GERBER DAISIES FROM RICHFIELD AND SEE JUST TO CELEBRATE, UM, THE EASTER HOLIDAY.

AND LASTLY, UH, WE'RE VERY EXCITED TO SHARE A, A CAMPAIGN THAT WE'LL BE STARTING NEXT FRIDAY.

IT'S CALLED BAND TOGETHER ON THE SQUARE.

THIS IS A SMALL CONCERT SERIES MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH COLLABORATION WITH SEVERAL DOWNTOWN PROPERTY OWNERS AND BUSINESSES, BUT ESSENTIALLY WE WILL HOST A SMALL CONCERT SERIES EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT, BEGINNING IN MAY AND RUNNING THROUGH SEPTEMBER THE CONCERT ITSELF, OR MUSIC RATHER WILL BE FROM SEVEN TO 9:00 PM.

BUT AT THE CORE OF THIS, WHAT WE'LL BE PROMOTING AND REALLY PARTNERING WITH OUR DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES IS TO CREATE A DAY OR AN EVENING IN DOWNTOWN THAT FOLKS WILL GO AND VISIT SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS PRIOR TO THE CONCERT IN BETWEEN SETS AFTER THE CONCERT AND WHATNOT, AND JUST REALLY, UM, INCREASE THE NUMBERS.

AS FAR AS BEING ON THE STREET IN DOWNTOWN, WE'LL BE ROTATING BETWEEN FIVE AND SIX ARTS FOR THE MONTH OF MAY PARTNERING WITH THE GARLAND MUSIC HALL FOR, UM, JUNE, JULY, AND AUGUST.

AND THEN WE'LL SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER AT THE PLAZA.

SO WE ARE, UH, REALLY KIND OF FINALIZING THAT CAMPAIGN NOW, UM, AND WOULD APPRECIATE YOU COMING OUT AND SUPPORTING YOUR DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES AS WELL AS HELPING US GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT THE EVENT IN REGARDS TO PUBLIC ART.

WE'D LIKE TO SHARE THAT THE OUT OF THE DUMP OUT OF THE BOX, THE DUMPSTER BEAUTIFICATION PROGRAM THAT WE INITIATED IN CONJUNCTION WITH BIG ART DAY LAST SEPTEMBER HAS PROVED TO BE QUITE A SUCCESS THAT PILOT PROGRAM HAS, UM, ACTUALLY COME BACK EVEN STRONGER OR EXCUSE ME, UM, BEEN MORE SUBSTANTIALLY SUCCESSFUL THAN WE ANTICIPATED.

I THINK THAT SANITATION WAS A BIT CONCERNED THAT WHEN THEY WOULD PICK UP THE DUMPSTERS TO MTM, THAT IT WOULD JUST WRECK THE PAINT ON THE EXTERIOR AND THEY'VE EVEN EXPRESSED HOW HAPPY THEY ARE WITH THE DURATION OF THE APPLICATION.

SO WE DO ANTICIPATE, UH, MOVING FORWARD TO BEAUTIFY THE REMAINING DUMPSTERS IN DOWNTOWN, GIVEN THAT THEY'RE AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY THOUGH, MAYBE SOMEONE I'M ATTRACTIVE IN AN URBAN SETTING.

AND AS FAR AS THE DOWNTOWN AREA IMPROVEMENTS, I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU, UM, UPDATE THAT OUR PROJECT MANAGEMENT TEAM SHARED WITH COUNCIL MOST RECENTLY.

SO, UM, JUST TO KIND OF BE A BIT MORE TECHNICAL AND STRAIGHT FORWARD, I'LL READ WHAT THEY SHARED WITH THE GROUP.

SO AS YOU'RE WELL AWARE, THE PROJECT AIMS TO ACTIVATE THE DOWNTOWN SQUARE, PROMOTE A PEDESTRIAN FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT AND REALLY SPUR ECONOMIC ACTIVITY THROUGH THE DISTRICT.

AND ONCE COMPLETE THE REDESIGNED DOWNTOWN SQUARE WILL INCLUDE FEATURES.

YOU'RE VERY FAMILIAR WITH, UM, INCLUDING THE SMALL PROGRAMMING AREA AND PATIOS, THE RECREATIONAL LAWN INTENDED FOR FLEXIBLE USE FOR SMALL SCALE EVENTS, AS WELL AS OUR LARGE EVENTS, UM, URBAN WATER FEATURE, A PAVILION FOR SMALL IMPROMPTU PERFORMANCES, THE PROMENADE THAT GUIDES THROUGH THE SPACE, UM, AND ALSO ALLOWS FOR FLEXIBILITY.

AND THAT THERE'S PLENTY OF PASSER BY, UH, REAL ESTATE, IF YOU WILL, IN ADDITION TO 10 AMPLE ROOM FOR 10 BY 10 TENTS, UM, FOR EXAMPLE, AS WE UTILIZE FOR URBAN MARKET AND THEN THE GATEWAY FEATURE AT THE CORNER OF MAIN AND FIFTH, THAT ALSO SETS THE ENTRY WAY FOR THE MAIN STAGE AREA.

THAT'S ALSO FLEXIBLE IN ITS NATURE AS WELL, TCM, SORRY, IS THE PARKING GOING TO BE LIKE THAT IT'S CHANGING? WHEREAS IT USED TO BE SIDEWAYS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET.

IS IT GOING TO BE LIKE THAT? IT'S D SO IF YOU SEE ON, UM, MAIN STREET, IT REMAINS PARALLEL ON THE SOUTHERN SIDE AND ON THE NORTHERN SIDE, IT WILL BE, UM, FRONT END PARKING, AND WE'LL ACTUALLY BE SCHEDULING SOME TIME, UM, WITH PROPERTY OWNERS ALONG EACH SEGMENT OF IMPROVEMENT TO ENSURE THAT EVERYONE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT'S HAPPENING AND THAT WE'RE ALL INFORMING SCENE.

OKAY.

SORRY.

NO, YOU'RE FINE.

YEAH.

I DON'T HAVE A DIRECTIONAL ARROW ON HERE, BUT THIS IS THE NORTH SIDE.

THERE ARE, SORRY, THE SOUTH SIDE THERE IS THAT ALL A TWO-WAY TRAFFIC OR ONE MORE TWO-WAY AND ALONG FIFTH STREET, IT'S DIVIDED BY A MEDIAN.

SO SINCE

[00:20:01]

WE, UM, BROKE GROUND IN LATE 2021, WE'RE MAKING GREAT PROGRESS ON THIS PROJECT.

ALL OF THE UNDERGROUND UTILITY WORK ALONG MAIN FROM FIFTH TO SIXTH AND FIFTH FROM STATE TO MAIN IS COMPLETE.

THIS INCLUDES STORM DRAINAGE, WATER WASTEWATER, AND ELECTRICAL DUCT BANKS.

AND AS YOU CAN SEE IN THESE PICTURES, WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL BIG CONCRETE POURS IN THE PAST MONTH ON THE LEFT.

YOU CAN SEE MAIN STREET, UH, NEAR ROACH FEED.

SO HERE, YEAH, VERY GOOD.

YES.

YOUR ROACH FEED AND THE PARKING, THE PARKING FOR ROACH FEED IS ACTUALLY NOW OPEN, WHICH IT WAS, UM, A GREAT RELIEF ONCE THAT WAS THE CASE ON THE BOTTOM, RIGHT? YOU CAN SEE FIFTH STREET BETWEEN STATE AND MAINE AND THE OTHER HALF OF THE STREET HAS BEEN POURED SINCE THIS PRESENTATION WAS PULLED TOGETHER ALONG MAIN STREET.

THE CREWS ARE BEGINNING THE FORM, THE PARKING SPACES, AND WE HAVE MORE CONCRETE COMING SOON.

AND JUST TO SHARE, WE ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING ABOUT A MONTH BEHIND ON MAIN AND FIFTH IN TERMS OF OPENING.

AND THAT'S DUE TO TWO CRITICAL MATERIALS, THE PAVERS AND THE REMOVABLE BOLLARDS, WHICH WE DO NOW HAVE A DELIVERY DATE OF MAY 24TH.

SO ANOTHER MAJOR PIECE OF THIS PROJECT THAT SOMETIMES IS OVERLOOKED IS THE IMPROVEMENT OF UP TO 14 BLOCKS OF STREETSCAPES BEYOND THE SQUARE.

SO REALLY PULLING THE DISTRICT TOGETHER AND CREATING THAT PEDESTRIAN EXPERIENCE THAT REALLY, UM, PROVIDES COHESION FROM BLOCK TO BLOCK AND CREATES AN EXPERIENCE.

ONCE YOU'RE HERE IN THAT, IN THAT REALM, WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING IN A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT AREAS.

SO THE STREETSCAPES ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF AVENUE, A, BETWEEN FIFTH AND SEVENTH ARE IN THE HOME STRETCH.

IF NOT, UM, WHEN COMPLETION THE ON-STREET PARKING IS REOPENED AND THERE WILL BE MINOR WORK OCCURRING TO SET THE PEDESTRIAN LIGHT POLES, THE AREAS THAT WILL GET PAVERS HAVE A TEMPORARY FILL UNTIL THE PAVERS ARRIVE AGAIN, MENTIONING OR REFERENCING THE DELAY IN THE CRITICAL MATERIALS PREVIOUSLY.

AND CREWS ARE ALSO WORKING ALONG STATE STREET BETWEEN GLENBROOK AND SIX, AS WELL AS SEVENTH BETWEEN STATE AND AUSTIN.

I JUST WANTED TO PROVIDE AN UPDATE ON THE PUBLIC RESTROOM.

YOU'RE ALL VERY FAMILIAR WITH.

AND FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE NOT, THIS IS, UM, UH, A PROJECT OR A LONG AWAITED AMENITY MUCH NEEDED THAN DOWNTOWN.

UH, SORRY.

THE PUBLIC RESTROOM WE'LL BE LOCATED AT ONE 16 SOUTH SIXTH STREET.

SO THIS IS, UH, IMMEDIATELY BEHIND WHAT WAS FORMALLY KNOWN AS MILL HOUSE AND THE BOY SCOUTS BUILDING THE AMENITY WILL FACILITATE 405 USERS PER HOUR, AND, UH, IS SCHEDULED FOR INSTALLATION, UM, IN AUGUST, ACTUALLY OF THIS YEAR.

SO WE'RE WORKING WITH A PRE-FAB BUILDER AND PREPARING THE SITE ALL IN HOPES OF HAVING THIS PROJECT INSTALLED BY AUGUST THE FORREST JUPITER IMPROVEMENTS IN REGARDS TO MONTGOMERY PARK.

WE DO NOT HAVE SIGNIFICANT UPDATES FROM THE LAST TIME THAT WE MET WITH THE BOARD IN REGARDS TO THIS PROJECT.

IT IS MOVING ALONG NICELY.

IF I UNDERSTAND CORRECTLY, WE'LL BE GOING OUT FOR BID THIS SUMMER.

IS THAT CORRECT KEITH WITH I BELIEVE SO.

AND IF THE BOARD HAS, UH, ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS FOR, WITH THAT PROJECT SPECIFICALLY, I'D BE HAPPY TO FOLLOW UP WITH YOU.

THE FIRST PLACE I WROTE AROUND THAT AND THE STREETS, SOMEBODY SPEAKS TO ALL THOSE HOLES AND FOR THE BUSINESSES OVER THERE.

THANK YOU GUYS.

IT LOOKS REALLY GOOD.

I MEAN, THEY'RE LITTLE PATCHES AND THINGS, BUT THOSE SIDEWALKS AND THINGS IN THAT AREA WERE JUST HORRIBLE FOR PEOPLE TO WALK.

AND THE BUSINESSES LOOK LIKE THEY'RE THRIVING AND THE AREA LOOKS NICE.

IN FACT, I WENT TO THE MONTGOMERY PARKS APPARENTLY AND READ THE FINE PRINT THAT IS NOT DONE YET, BUT I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN I ORIGINALLY DROVE THAT I DIDN'T GO THAT WAY BECAUSE IT WASN'T PART OF THE DISTRICT.

SO THANKS EVERYBODY FOR THINKING OUT OF THE BOX AND USING AN EXISTING PARK THAT NEEDS IT.

PLUS IT'S GORGEOUS TREES RACK THERE.

THE PARK IS NICE, JUST THE WAY IT IS.

I'M REAL EXCITED.

SO THANKS FOR THINKING ABOUT USING AN EXISTING ONE.

AND IT'S ONLY A FEW FEET FROM THE LINE, SO THOSE KIDS CAN WALK TO THAT AND THERE'S SCHOOL THERE.

AND THE VERY NICE THING, THEN I'LL REMIND US ALL OF THE CONCEPTUAL DESIGN.

CAUSE I THINK THAT'S EVEN MORE EXCITING.

RIGHT.

AND WHAT I WAS EXPECTING, I'M HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU GUYS HAD JUST RIGHT THERE, BUT DON'T, DON'T STOP NOW.

I THINK IT'S, I'LL, I'LL BE SURE TO SHARE THAT WITH THE PROJECT TEAM.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT.

I DIDN'T EVEN FIND ANY GROUNDS IN THOSE, THOSE WORK AREAS WHERE THERE WAS HOLES.

I MEAN, IT MUST'VE BEEN A BIG JOB CAUSE HE PATCHED.

I MEAN THE PATCHING WAS EVERYWHERE AND IT LOOKED PRETTY NICE.

I THINK ONCE WE GET TO, UM,

[00:25:01]

A SIGNIFICANT, MORE SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE IN THE PROJECT, WE'LL ACTUALLY ASK THE PROJECT MANAGER TO COME AND PRESENT TO THE BOARD SO THAT YOU FEEL UP TO SPEED AS TO HOW THE TIF FUNDING HAS SUPPORTED THAT PROJECT.

OKAY.

I'M SURE EVERYBODY WAS INVOLVED IN IT, BUT IT'S WELL DONE.

JUST I'LL MAKE SURE THEY KNEW THAT.

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

A LOT OF STOCK.

I MEAN A LOT OF BUSINESSES GOING TO, AND THEY WILL LOOK FULL THE BUSINESSES.

OH, AWESOME.

SO THAT ACTUALLY THAT COMPLETES OUR UPDATE, UM, AS FAR AS EXISTING PROJECTS.

SO THEN I WILL HAND IT OVER TO YOU, MR. SCHROEDER.

VERY GOOD.

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

DOES THE BOARD MEMBER, OR DO ANY OF THE BOARD MEMBERS HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON THE UPDATES FOR LATISHA? YES, SIR.

UH, I THINK A LOT OF WORK HAS BEEN DONE ON THE STANDING SHOPS DOWNTOWN.

THAT'S A DROP.

IS THERE A LENIENT BENT TO, UH, TO BRING PEOPLE TO GARLAND BLACK, FOR EXAMPLE, THERE'S THE FIRST, MONDAY OTHER THINGS LIKE THAT THAT ARE PUBLISHED OUTSIDE OF THE CITY, SAY LIKE, DO WE HAVE LIKE FESTIVAL AS A STANDING THING THAT CAN BE A DRAW UP TODAY, SPECIFICALLY IN DOWNTOWN OR FOR THE CITY AS A WHOLE OR BOTH.

I KINDA LIKE TO SEE YOUR GARBAGE AS A WHOLE, BUT THE DOWNTOWN.

I CERTAINLY HOPE THAT IT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL TO DOWNTOWN LIKE A FESTIVAL THAT IS A STANDING FESTIVAL WOULD SAY, HEY, YOU KNOW, MOM'S GOING TO HAVE THIS LIKE CHILI COOK-OFF OR SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL.

WELL, I WILL HAND THAT OVER TO MS .

OKAY.

SO AT THIS PARTICULAR TIME, THE CITY PRODUCES 11 CITY PRODUCED EVENTS.

UH, NONE OF THEM ARE WHAT I WOULD CONSIDER A SIGNATURE LIKE A PLANO BALLOON FEST.

AND THAT IS ON PURPOSE AT THIS PARTICULAR TIME FOR THE CITY.

UM, THEY HAVE REALLY WANTED THE FESTIVALS, CONCERTS AND SPECIAL EVENTS TO BE VERY MUCH FOR THEIR OWN COMMUNITY.

WE CERTAINLY WELCOME ANYBODY TO CROSS CITY LINES AND COME AND VISIT US FROM OTHER PARTS OF THE DALLAS FORT WORTH METROPLEX, BUT THEY BELIEVE THAT IT'S CITY TAXES THAT ARE FUNDING THESE PARTICULAR EVENTS.

AND SO RIGHT NOW THE, UM, BELIEF IS, UH, MORE AT A SMALLER LEVEL IS, UM, THE DESIRE, UH, FOR THE CITY AT THIS PARTICULAR TIME, THERE WAS AT ONE TIME, SOME VERY, VERY LARGE, UM, MUSIC FESTIVALS THAT GARLAND HAD.

AND THEY REALLY ARE FOCUSING ON THESE A LITTLE BIT SMALLER 5,000 PEOPLE TYPE EVENTS.

WE DO HAVE A NEW ONE ADDED THIS YEAR FOR THE FIRST TIME, WHICH IS THE JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION, WHICH WILL BE AN AUDUBON PARK ON JUNE 19TH.

AND IT WILL BE THE FIRST TIME THAT THE CITY HAS PRODUCED THAT PARTICULAR EVENT.

UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO THE SQUARE BEING, UH, UNDER CONSTRUCTION, WE DID HAVE TO MOVE OUR CONCERT SERIES, THE LARGER CONCERT SERIES, NOT THE 22 THAT LETICIA IS PUTTING TOGETHER CALLED BAND TOGETHER.

BUT, UH, THE LARGER CONCERT SERIES HAVE BEEN MOVED THREE AND AUDUBON STARTING MAY 12TH, UM, MAY 12TH, MAY 26TH AND JUNE THE 1ST OF JUNE.

AND, UH, AND THEN WE MOVED TO THE WINNERS AMPHITHEATER, WHICH HASN'T SEEN A CONCERT IN QUITE SOME TIME.

SO IT'S SUPER EXCITING TO USE THAT SPACE AGAIN FOR, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN QUITE SOME TIME.

AND THOSE CONCERTS, UM, ARE THE END OF JUNE AND TWO DATES IN JULY.

SO THEY'RE CALLED THE SOUNDS OF SUMMER, JUST LIKE THEY WERE IN DOWNTOWN, BUT WE HAD TO MOVE THEM TO THOSE TWO PARK LOCATIONS.

SO I LOVE YOUR IDEA OF A BIG, UM, UH, SIGNATURE EVENT.

UM, BUT RIGHT NOW THE BELIEF IS WE REALLY WANT THESE EVENTS FOR OUR OWN CITIZENS.

UM, IT'S THEIR DOLLARS AND WE WANT TO DO THE BEST WE CAN FOR THEM.

UM, SO IT'S KIND OF A LITTLE BIT MORE VERSUS HUGE.

SECOND QUESTION IS HEALTH ASSESSED BICYCLES.

IT'S BEEN MY EXPERIENCE WITH BIKES AND CARS, BUT YOU HAVE THE DART RAIL PRETTY CLOSE ACCESSIBILITY TO THE DOWN GENDER.

[00:30:06]

SO THE PLAN ITSELF HAS BEEN, UH, I DON'T WANT TO SPEAK OUT OF PLACE HERE, BUT I KNOW THAT THEY'VE WORKED AND REVIEWED THE PLANS WITH OUR TRAILS AND, AND MASTER PLAN, PROJECT MANAGER.

HOWEVER, AS FAR AS BIKE LANES THROUGHOUT DOWNTOWN, IF THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE REFERRING TO, I BELIEVE THE BIKE LANE TERMINATES IT'S SEVENTH AND MAIN, THERE WILL BE BIKE RACKS THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY, ENCOURAGING THAT FOLKS DO, UH, TAKE THAT MODE OF TRAVEL TO, TO COME AND VISIT US DOWNTOWN.

BUT IN REGARDS TO SPECIFIC BITLINKS BIKE LANES INCORPORATED INTO THE INFRASTRUCTURE, THERE'S NOT A STRONG PRESENCE IN THAT REGARD.

NO, JUST WONDERING.

CAUSE IT'S PRETTY WELL CIRCLED BY A LOT OF, UH, RESIDENTS.

I, I DON'T THINK THERE'S MANY OF THEM ARE JUST WITHIN A MILE.

ABSOLUTELY.

SO THAT'S WHERE THE 14 BLOCKS OF STREETSCAPES ENHANCEMENTS COMES INTO PLAY IS TO REALLY CREATE A MORE PEDESTRIAN FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT AND PRIORITIZING THAT PEDESTRIAN EXPERIENCE OVER THE VEHICULAR TRAFFIC.

OKAY.

I THINK CENTRAL PARK IS PRETTY CLOSE, ISN'T IT? YEAH.

SO THERE'S PARKS.

IS THERE A WAY, CAUSE I USED TO RIDE MY BIKE FROM, UM, DISTRICT FOUR, BY THE WAY, I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT DISTRICT DIAMOND, UH, TO DOWNTOWN.

UM, AND IF I WAS GOING TO AN EVENT, I HAD A FRIEND THAT HAS A HOUSE DOWN HERE, DID HAVE A HOUSE DOWN HERE SO I COULD LEAVE MY BIKE THERE, BUT IS THERE AN MAYBE AN OUTER RING? YOU KNOW, IF ANYBODY DID WANT A RIDE, BUT I, YOU KNOW, YOU GOTTA RIDE SAFELY BECAUSE I HAD TO TAKE THE SIDE ROADS.

WE GOT SOME NICE ONES NEAR THE PARKS AND STUFF.

IS THERE AN OUTER RING AS FAR AS MAYBE A, AN OPPORTUNITY TO HOLD BIKES FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE WANTING TO GO TO THE SQUARE BIKE RACKS ARE INCORPORATED INTO THE AMENITIES SURROUNDING THE SQUARE AND THROUGHOUT DOWNTOWN.

SO THEY WILL BE, UM, PART OF WHAT YOU SEE AS FAR AS STREET FIXTURES AND FINISHINGS.

I'M JUST THINKING ABOUT GETTING HERE RIGHT VIA THE LANE, THE BIKE LANE PLAYING DODGE CAR IS NOT, I'VE DONE THAT A LOT BIKE LANES.

AND I MEAN, YEAH, I TAKE ONE FROM MY HOUSE ALL THE WAY DOWNTOWN.

I LIVE ON THE BICYCLE BIKE LANE THAT GOES BASICALLY FROM MY HOUSE TO IT.

IT WAS NICE PAST, PAST CENTRAL PARK AND ON BOTH SIDES AND THE DOG PARK, UM, ALL THE WAY INTO DOWNTOWN, BUT IT TERMINATES AT SIX AND THEN GLENN BROKE ALL OF THAT.

IT'S AND IT'S ACTUALLY PRETTY, INSTEAD OF WATCHING CARS, BUZZ BY, YOU KNOW, IT'S WOODED OR MOST OF THE ONES I'VE, THAT'S ONE SIDE TRYING TO FIND I'M KIND OF COMING IN FROM THE EAST.

SO I HAVE TO GET ON, ACTUALLY I'M EVEN USING THE APP ON MY PHONE.

YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO INTEGRATE YOURSELF WITH CARS.

AND, UM, A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE NOT ORIENTATED TO CARS.

MATTER OF FACT, I THINK WE'RE A CAR SOCIETY AND A LOT OF PEOPLE GET ANGRY AT BICYCLES BECAUSE I MEAN, WHY ISN'T THAT BICYCLE GUY DOING 45 MILES AN HOUR? WELL, THEY DON'T GO THAT FAST.

SO, UH, YOU KNOW, THAT COULD BE INCORPORATED.

I MEAN, DARK, UH, WHEN YOU SEE PEOPLE COMING TO DARK THERE, ACTUALLY YOU CAN SEE THE TRAIL THAT PEOPLE ARE WALKING ON AND IT'S PROBABLY TWO INCHES DEEP WHERE PEOPLE JUST TRYING TO WALK UP AND DARK.

AND SO THAT WOULD BE AN ENHANCEMENT TO NOT ONLY DARK, BUT ALSO TO THE DOWNTOWN AREA, ESPECIALLY COMING IN FROM THE EAST.

WELL, ACTUALLY ANYWHERE BECAUSE YOU GOT TO GET HERE SOMEHOW.

SO SOME OF THE, KIND OF TO YOUR POINT, SOME OF THE INITIATIVES WE PULLED FROM THAT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVATION PLAN THAT I MENTIONED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PRESENTATION, WE WILL BE, UM, ACTIVATING SIDEWALKS FROM EXAM, FOR EXAMPLE, THE GREENVILLE ARTS CENTER DOWN TO THE SQUARE OF THE LIBRARY, DOWN TO THE SQUARE AND REALLY, UM, ADDRESSING THE PEDESTRIAN EXPERIENCE THROUGH WAYFINDING AND HOPING TO REALLY LAY THAT OUT FOR FOLKS THAT THEY SEE IT IS POSSIBLE TO COME FROM THE DART STATION AND MAKE YOUR WAY DOWNTOWN PRAIRIE INSTALLATIONS JUST THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT.

BUT MAYBE THOSE SET THE TONE FOR ANOTHER PROJECT DOWN THE ROAD.

I THINK DARTS, EVEN ALLOWING PEOPLE TO PUT THEIR BICYCLES ON THE TRAIN AND ON THE BUSES.

SO, I MEAN, IT'S, UH, IT'S COMING ALONG.

I MEAN, I RODE MY BICYCLE DOWN HERE AND, YOU KNOW, GOOD FOR YOU.

IS THAT POLICY OR IS THAT JUST KIND OF SOMETHING OVERLOOKED AT THIS POINT ON BICYCLES ON, ON DARK? ARE YOU FAMILIAR OR NO, IT'S NOT.

IT'S IT'S IT IS.

THIS POLICY IS GREAT.

OKAY.

GOOD POLICY.

SO EVEN HOME AND BUSES COME FROM YOUR

[00:35:01]

DISTRICT, DO YOU SEE IT? I MEAN, FROM THE WOODS AND THINGS, SO WE'VE GOT SOME YOURS DOESN'T HAVE, AND MINE'S KIND OF A, A LOWER INCOME AREA.

SO PEOPLE ARE NOT GOING TO SOMETIMES THEY JUST DON'T HAVE CARS.

YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN? THEY'RE JUST KIND OF, YOU SEE WALKING PEOPLE ALL OVER THE PLACE.

SO I THINK FROM THAT AREA, I THINK IT'D BE A GOOD IDEA TO PROTECT PEOPLE BECAUSE I'D SAY THIS, BUT MY DAUGHTER AND SON HAD BOTH BEEN HIT BY CARS AND MY DAUGHTER PUT HER HEAD THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD OF SOMEBODY IN SOMEBODY'S CAR AND SPENT THE NIGHT DOWN AT THE OLD BAYLOR, I GUESS IT'S NOW THE VA HOSPITAL HOPING THAT SHE'S GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT, JUST BECAUSE SHE'S A KID ON A BICYCLE.

AND SO THAT'S WHY I'M PRETTY IN MY SON'S ALSO BEEN HITTING, I'VE PLAYED DODGE CAR MOST OF MY LIFE.

AND SO IT'S JUST, UM, I'D REALLY LIKE TO SEE THAT PROTECTION, PEOPLE JUST WALKING AND RIDING A BICYCLE.

I JUST WANTED TO COME UP TO MENTION THAT IF YOU GO TO OUR WEBSITE, WHICH IS BEING PULLED UP RIGHT HERE, WE HAD A MASTER PLAN FOR ALL OUR TRAILS AND BIKEWAYS CONDUCTED IN 2021.

AND IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN FUTURE PLANS ON BIKE WAYS AND TRAILS, THIS IS A GOOD RESOURCE OUT THERE TOO, TO LOOK THROUGH.

AND THERE'S A VIDEO AS WELL TO SHOW THE PLANS FOR UPCOMING PLANS FOR BIKE LANES THROUGHOUT THE CITY.

UH, PARKS ACTUALLY DOES A REALLY GOOD JOB PUTTING ALL THEIR MASTER PLANS.

THEY'VE BEEN HARD AT WORK, PUTTING THOSE OUT THERE.

SO I'D ENCOURAGE ANYONE INTERESTED IN GARLAND PARKS OR TRAILS AND BIKE WAYS TO GO TO THE WEBSITE.

AND THERE'S TONS OF INFORMATION ABOUT WHERE OUR FEATURE BIKE LANES ARE GOING TO BE.

MAYBE WE CAN BRING THAT UP NEXT MEETING OR SOMETHING WE LOOK AT.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THAT GOOD.

COULD WE GET, UH, A REPRESENTATIVE FROM PARKS TO COME ADDRESS THAT SPECIFICALLY TO SEE IF WE CAN FIND ONE? YES, ABSOLUTELY.

I'M BEING FACETIOUS.

YES.

YEAH.

JUST KIND OF WANT TO PUT THAT OUT THERE.

SO YEAH, WE HAVE, IS THERE ANY SCHEDULE RESERVATION THAT TOO, TO SEE IT IT'S ALREADY BEEN FIXED BEFORE? JUST AS A COMMENT WHO RIDES A BIKE IN HERE? I DO KNOW.

WELL, I'M AFRAID TO RIDE IN, UNLESS IT'S REALLY WOODED.

I DON'T RIDE IN DALLAS BECAUSE I'VE BEEN ON BIKE TOURS AND PEOPLE.

I MEAN, PEOPLE DON'T SEE SMALL THINGS, THEN YOU GOT PHONES IT'S YEAH.

YEAH.

ALL RIGHT.

WE HAVE 15 MINUTES MORE BEFORE ONE O'CLOCK UM, DO WE HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS BEFORE WE MOVE ON TO THE FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS? UH, A LITTLE BIT I'M NEW AT THIS.

SO I WAS JUST KIND OF TRYING TO FIGURE OUT, DO WE HAVE, DO WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT OUR AREA THAT WE'RE SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT HERE NOW? OR IS THAT SOMETHING THEY'LL HAVE TO DO IN THE FUTURE? YEAH, A LITTLE BIT LESS FORMAL.

UM, WE COULD DO THAT AFTER THE MEETING.

UM, AND, AND, UH, I REALLY WANT TO SERVE THE CITY OF GARLAND.

THAT'S THE ONLY REASON.

I MEAN, IT'S BEEN MY HOME FOR MANY, MANY, MANY YEARS AND I'M, I'M REALLY, UH, MY KIDS GREW UP HERE AND I JUST LOVE IT.

IT'S A GREAT CITY.

I LIKE TO REALLY MAKE IT A CITY.

THAT'S JUST, YOU KNOW, THE STAR IN THIS AREA.

AND I THINK WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY DUE TO THE LAKE DUE TO A LOT OF THINGS THAT GARLAND SPECIFICALLY HAS IN THE AGE THAT GARLAND IS AND THE MATURITY THAT WE HAVE IN OUR COUNCIL AND EVERYTHING JUST, I MEAN, IT'S, WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY RIGHT NOW AND I THINK WE OUGHT TO PLAY THIS HAND OUT TO THE FULLEST AND JUST REALLY MAKE A GARLAND, A SHINING LIGHT.

I AGREE.

WE HAVE JUST ENDLESS OPPORTUNITIES.

YES, SIR.

SO THANK YOU.

ALL RIGHT.

LETICIA OR FUTURE ITEMS I BELIEVE IS OUR NEXT AGENDA ITEM.

YES, SIR.

RIGHT.

SO I'VE ADDED THE UPDATE FOR THE TRAILS AND BIKE MASTER PLAN.

AND THEN ARE THERE ANY OTHER ITEMS FROM THE COURT, DO WE NEED TO MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT OUR SPECIFIC AREA THAT WE'D LIKE TO SEE IMPROVED? OR IF THIS, WE ARE REPRESENTING A CERTAIN AREA? YES, SIR.

THIS, THIS BOARD'S PHYSICALLY ONLY OVERSEES THE DOWNTOWN AND THEN THE DARK RAILWAY OUT TO THE FOREST JUPITER AREA.

IT DOESN'T PARTICULARLY AFFECT EACH DISTRICT OF GARLAND.

OKAY.

CAN I ASK YOU A QUESTION THAT IS, I NOTICED THAT THE BASS PLAYER DOES NOT HAVE ANY DART ACCESS OTHER THAN I DON'T EVEN THINK OF.

DOES THE BUS GO OUT THERE? NOT SURE.

I MEAN, I DON'T KNOW.

I DON'T KNOW.

I MEAN, YEAH.

THE DOWNTOWN AREA IS, IS, IS ACCESSED BY THE RAIL AND BY BUS.

THAT'S CORRECT.

BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENS DOWN IN SOUTH DARE TO THE BASS PRO IN THAT AREA.

I'M TRYING TO RECALL.

UH, MOST OF MY INFORMATION IS, IS A LITTLE BIT OUTDATED SINCE MY BROTHER WAS ON DART LAW ENFORCEMENT.

UM, BUT, UH, PERHAPS, UM,

[00:40:02]

ANYBODY WHO, WHO MIGHT HAVE INFORMATION ON DARK ROUTES DOWN TO BASS PRO THAT'S 30 IN THAT'S 30 AND GEORGE BUSH TOLLWAY.

YOU'RE RIGHT.

WHAT'D YOUR CITY COUNCILMAN KNOW THEY SHOULD OFFER THAT TO YOU.

YEAH.

I THINK THE BEST RESOURCE AGAIN IS THERE'S IN GOOD OLD GOOGLE AND YOU HAVE MAPS LISTED OUT, UH, THROUGHOUT THEIR, UH, THROUGHOUT THEIR SYSTEM OF ALL THEIR BUS STOPS AND ALL THEIR, THEIR ACTUAL RAIL LINES TRYING TO FIND IT NOW, BUT I KIND OF GOOGLED IT THIS MORNING AND I COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING.

THEY WENT A RAIL THAT GOES DOWN THERE, EVEN BUS THAT DEFINITELY A, NOT A RAIL, BUT, UH, I'M NOT SURE ON BUS STOPS WHERE EITHER ONE RAIL RUNS FROM DOWNTOWN GARLAND STATION OUT TO RAIL AT NOW, BUT THERE'S NO SOUTH GARLAND ACCESS THROUGH RAIL IT'S IT WOULD ONLY BE BUS IF WE HAVE ROUTES DOWN THERE.

YEAH.

I JUST, UH, I DIDN'T KNOW, BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE THERE'S A LOT OF GROWTH IN THAT AREA, GROWTH EVERYWHERE, BUT, UH, YOU'RE RIGHT.

THERE IS, THERE'S A LOT OF DEVELOPMENT IN SOUTH GARLAND JUST BEFORE SUNNYVALE, RIGHT.

UH, BARNES BRIDGE ROAD.

UM, AND IN SOME AREAS UP THROUGH THE, EVEN THE 30 AND GEORGE BUSH AREA, UH, THAT WAS HIT IN THE 2015 TORNADOES, I BELIEVE.

UH, THAT'S BEEN IN DEVELOPMENT SINCE THAT POINT DEMOLITION LATER IN OR MID 16 TRAGEDY, THAT AREA IS, IS UNDER QUITE A BIT OF DEAL DEVELOPMENT.

I DON'T SEE ANYTHING IN THAT AREA.

I MEAN, YEAH.

AS I UNDERSTAND, IT'S, IT'S STILL HELD BY THE SAME, UH, UH, REAL ESTATE, UM, OWNER OWNERSHIP.

AND SO THEY'RE REDEVELOPING IN THERE.

THEY'RE WORKING THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION STAGES, BUT THEY'VE, THEY'VE GOT LONGER-TERM PLANS AND RECEIPT ACTION GOING ON.

IS THERE ANY INFORMATION WE HAVE PERTINENT TO THE DISCUSSION IN THAT TISSUE? NO.

THE ONLY THING I WOULD ADD IS THAT, UM, THIS, THIS BOARD IS SPECIFICALLY FOCUSED ON DOWNTOWN ON THE FOREST JUPITER AREA.

THERE IS ANOTHER TIFF BOARD THAT IS ALONG THE, WHAT WE CALL THE I 30 CORRIDOR THAT HANDLES, UH, PROJECTS AND GETS UPDATES RELATED TO DEVELOPMENT ALONG THE CORRIDOR.

UM, BUT RIGHT NOW THE FOCUS FOR AS FAR AS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT HAS GONE ALONG THAT CORRIDOR HAS BEEN IN THE ROSE HILL 30 AREA.

UH, THERE SHOULD BE AN RFP OUT IF IT'S NOT OUT SOON FOR INTERESTED HOTEL SLASH DEVELOPERS, MULTI-USE DEVELOPERS TO, TO PUT IN PROPOSALS FOR THAT AREA.

SO THAT'S IT JUST AS FAR AS AN UPDATE ON THAT AREA, THAT'S WHERE THE FOCUS OF THE CITY HAS BEEN RIGHT NOW AS IT IS ONE OF THE CATALYST AREAS FOR OUR CITY.

SO, UH, AGAIN, WE, WE COULD PROBABLY TALK FOR HOURS ABOUT WHAT CAN GO ON IN THAT AREA, BUT, UH, THE FOCUS OF THIS BOARD IS DOWNTOWN AND THE, OF COURSE, JUPITER, IS THERE GOING TO BE A MEETING FOR THE, THE, UH, THAT AREA COMING UP PRETTY SOON, THERE SHOULD BE ONE SCHEDULED ROUGHLY AUGUST TIMEFRAME.

WHEN WOULD THAT ACTUALLY GETS NAILED DOWN? WE CAN EMAIL THAT OUT.

I JUST HAVE TO WAIT ON THAT.

ALL RIGHT.

UM, I MAY HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD.

LETICIA IS THE TWO FUTURE ITEMS, SOMETHING THAT THE BOARD NEEDS TO VOTE ON FOR APPROVAL, OR IS THAT COMMITTEE APPROVAL? I BELIEVE MAYBE RECOMMENDATION MANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS VERY GOOD THE NEXT MEETING.

SO OUR NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING WILL BE JULY 27TH.

UM, ARE THERE ANY FUTURE ITEMS THAT WE WOULD LIKE THE STAFF TO INFORM US OF, OR OBVIOUSLY THE, THE PROJECTS UNDERWAY WE'LL, WE'LL HAVE A THREE MONTH UPDATE, BUT, UM, ANYTHING MORE, IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE DISCUSSION TODAY.

UM, BUT IN THE FUTURE I'D LIKE TO UNDERSTAND MAYBE OUR RECYCLING PLAN FOR BUSINESSES.

UM, WE HAVE DUMPSTERS AND PARKING SPACES AND WE'VE TRIED TO MAKE THEM PRETTY, ET CETERA, BUT I JUST, IF THERE'S MORE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR WHEN THE SQUARE OPENS UP TO KEEP THINGS CLEANER AND, AND MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, THAT WOULD BE GREAT.

SO THEN MAYBE HEAR FROM PARKS ABOUT HOW THE SQUARE LIKE RESERVING THE SQUARE AND PERMITTING MIGHT CHANGE IF THERE'S A PLAN FOR THAT, JUST KIND OF AS A HEADS UP, UM, ME SPECIFICALLY THINKING ABOUT WHEN THE STREETS GET CLOSED DOWN, HOW IT AFFECTS MY BUSINESS AND OF COURSE THE URBAN MARKET AND HOW THAT MIGHT, IF IT'S JUST FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, OR IF WE NEED A CONTRACT

[00:45:01]

WITH THE CITY OR ET CETERA, ET CETERA.

VERY GOOD.

SO ARE YOU SAYING THAT THE DUMPSTER ACTUALLY OCCUPIES A PARKING SPACE OUT IN FRONT OF A BUSINESS? UH, MINE DOESN'T, I THINK SOME ON SIX MIGHT, UM, SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO, YOU KNOW, WHEEL THE TRASH ACROSS THE STREET TO IT IN A DIFFERENT ALLEY.

IT'S JUST, YOU KNOW, BUT THEY'RE NOT SITTING IN A PARKING SPOT OR THEY ARE BEHIND THE BUSINESSES OR ACTUALLY THINK THERE IS ONE LIKE THAT.

I THINK, I THINK THE LAST ONE IN A PARKING SPOT, I THINK DUSTBIN, DORIS HAS ONE LIKE FURTHER DOWN SIX.

IS THAT RIGHT? OR, YEAH.

IT'S AND IT'S ON SOMEONE ELSE'S PROPERTY ACTION, RIGHT? YEAH.

YESTERDAY THERE'S CHALLENGES WITH IT AND IT DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT, AND THAT'S ALL DOWNTOWNS ARE ALL DENSE AREAS, JUST SOMETHING TO CONSIDER.

PRETTY GOOD.

IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT'S GONNA BE AN EASY SOLUTION.

SO TO SPEAK TO THAT AT SIX IN THE ALLEY, THERE ARE TWO DUMPSTERS CURRENTLY IN PARKING SPACES AND ARE THERE, UM, IN A SOMEWHAT TEMPORARY NATURE, GIVEN THAT ONCE THE ALLEY PROJECT WAS COMPLETE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WAS IMPROVED TO PLACE THE DUMPSTERS ON TOP OF THAT, THE HEARTS OF THE STREETSCAPES, RATHER WHAT WE HAD HEARD FROM BUSINESS AND PROPERTY OWNERS IS THAT THERE WAS AN IMPACT OF SIGHT LINES AS YOU WERE TRYING TO EXIT THE ALLEY.

UM, SO RATHER THAN BUILDING A PERMANENT PIECE OF THE PUZZLE BEFORE DETERMINING THE OVERALL APPROACH FOR THE DISTRICT, THE DUMPSTERS ARE IN THE PARKING SPACES TEMPORARILY POINT.

SO IT'S JUST TRYING TO, UM, BE INTENTIONAL IN THAT WE DON'T STICK A PERMANENT SOLUTION IN PLACE.

JUST BEING A LITTLE TINY PIECE OF THE PUZZLE WITHOUT HAVING THE OVERALL PR APPROACH DETERMINED AT THIS TIME.

AND THEN ALSO, UM, CARLOS, WOULD IT, WOULD IT BE HELPFUL TO TALK WITH STAFF OF THOSE RESTAURANTS AND LOCATIONS WITH THOSE DUMPSTERS TO SEE IF THERE'S A PLACE THAT THEY SEE WOULD BE CONVENIENT ALONG THE, THE PICKUP ROUTE? WELL, SOMETHING I TALKED TO ED ABOUT, OKAY.

HE'S AT THE AREA OF THE DIVISION IS THE, THE AREA WHERE THE, UH, GIRL AND BOYS CLUB IS AT, OR SCOUTS, SCOUTS PLACE THAT, YOU KNOW, BUILDING SOMETHING ON THERE, YOU KNOW, AND MAYBE PUTTING TWO DUMPSTERS THERE, YOU KNOW, THEY'D GO A LITTLE BIT FURTHER, BUT IT WILL BE OUT OF THE WAY OUT OF TRAFFIC A LITTLE BIT AND ALLOW TRAFFIC FLOW, YOU KNOW, SO, OKAY.

I JUST THREW THAT OUT THERE FOR THEM TO THINK ABOUT THAT WAS SOME TIME AGO, SO I DON'T KNOW WHERE THAT WENT, BUT YEAH, IT'S JUST DIFFICULT.

AND THEN, UH, LARRY HAS INTENTIONS OF BUILDING SOMETHING THERE ONE DAY WHERE HE'S GOT A PROPERTY.

YEAH.

BUT ALSO MAKES IT EVEN MORE DIFFICULT.

SO, YEAH, IT'S A CHALLENGE.

AND AS A RESTAURANT, YOU HAVE A CHOICE TO USE CITY SERVICES FOR DUMPSTER PICKUP OR NOT.

I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S REALLY WELL KNOWN, BUT DID YOU SAY, DID YOU SAY YOU HAVE A CHOICE? OKAY.

WELL, I THINK SOME PEOPLE WERE TOLD DON'T HAVE A CHOICE.

OH, WELL, IT'S, IT'S, I'M JUST SAYING IT'S EASIER TO MAKE A PLAN WHEN IT'S, WE'RE ALL USING THE SAME.

I DON'T KNOW WHO, WHAT OTHER SERVICES OTHER PEOPLE USE, BUT WE'RE ALL USING THE SAME SERVICE.

YEAH.

I THINK THAT, UM, HOW THEY SPLIT THE COST ON THAT, BUT I DON'T KNOW.

I MEAN, YOU KNOW, WHO PAYS FOR WHAT? BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE GENERATE PROBABLY MORE TRASH THAN OTHERS.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PLACE HAS BEEN GREAT TO US.

WE DON'T EVER PLAN ON SWITCHING.

THEY PICK UP OUR DUMPSTER SIX DAYS A WEEK OR SO.

WOW.

BUT WE CAN'T HAVE A BIGGER DUMPSTER.

SO THAT'S WHY IT'S MORE OFTEN, UM, I ASSUME WHEN MORE RESTAURANTS COME, THAT'LL BE A GROWING PROBLEM.

SO THE RECYCLING YES.

IT'LL BE AN AGENDA ITEM THAT WILL GET UPDATED ON, UH, IN JULY LETICIA.

AND IF NECESSARY, SEND OUT AN INVITATION TO WHAT WOULD THAT BE? SANITATION THAT WE WOULD HAVE A LIAISON OR FOR THE COORDINATE AND HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THAT DEPARTMENT VISIT WITH A FORD.

YEAH.

THE CHALLENGE THERE IS WHAT CARRIE'S TALKING ABOUT IS THAT OUR COMMERCIAL TRASH RIGHT NOW IS OPEN MARKET.

SO, UH, BUSINESSES DO HAVE A CHOICE ON WHO THEY CHOOSE.

OF COURSE WE PREFER YOU CHOOSE THE CITY OF GARLAND, BUT THAT'S, THAT'S THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE THAT WE WILL HAVE AND GETTING A PLAN PUT TOGETHER BECAUSE IT WOULD, WE WOULD NEED TO FOCUS ON THE ONES WHERE SERVICING ONLY.

UM, SO ALSO THERE WAS A, I CAN'T FIND IT.

THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE A MEETING, A COFFEE WITH THE CONSTRUCTION CREW OR SOMETHING.

IS THAT STILL AVAILABLE OR COMING UP OUR FIRST? UH, SO THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO, OR RATHER AN INITIATIVE TO, UM, INFORM ALL OF THE BUSINESSES AND PROPERTY OWNERS THAT THE PROGRESS OF THE PROJECT ALONG THE WAY.

SO WE'LL HAVE OUR FIRST OPEN HOUSE FORMAT MEETING ON MAY 10TH, MAY 10TH, CONSTRUCTION CHATTER OVER COFFEE, AND WE'LL HAVE INVITES GO OUT SHORTLY, IF NOT ALREADY POSTED TO THE CLOSED FACEBOOK GROUP, THAT WILL BE, UM,

[00:50:01]

A REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING.

AND AGAIN, JUST A COME AND GO, UM, OPPORTUNITY FOR FOLKS TO POP IN THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER WILL BE THERE AND WHATEVER THE CURRENT PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION IS UNDERWAY, WE'LL BE THE GUIDING FOCUS OF THE CONVERSATION.

ALL RIGHT.

OUR THIRD AND FINAL CALL.

IS THERE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OR DISCUSSION FOR CITY STAFF BEFORE WE CLOSED THE MEETING? ONE QUICK ITEM.

UM, YES.

WE'RE LOOKING AT THE PAVED AREA OVER THERE, UM, WHERE THEY'VE JUST FINISHED BEAUTIFUL CONCRETE, UH, IS A SIDEWALK BIG ENOUGH FOR RESTAURANTS TO PUT TABLES IN.

IS IT OKAY TO DO THAT OUT ON THOSE SIDEWALKS IS NICE AND BIG.

THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING.

SO AROUND THE SQUARE WE'LL KNOW WELL IN THE SQUARE ONCE THAT'S FINISHED, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHO ITS JURISDICTION IT.

CAN YOU BRING A DRINK TO THAT? UM, AND BE TOO HARD TO POLICE, I GUESS, BUT, BUT, UM, THE SIDEWALK LOOKED EXTRA BIG.

I THINK THEY FINISH.

I KNOW IF YOU PUT TABLES AND CHAIRS OUT THERE, THEY ABSOLUTELY DID IT ON PURPOSE.

SO WE TALKED ABOUT AT ONE TIME, I CAN'T REMEMBER IMMEDIATELY AROUND THE SQUARE OF THE SIDEWALKS ARE ESSENTIALLY DOUBLING IN SOME INSTANCES AND THAT'S TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE SPACE FOR PEDESTRIAN PASS THROUGH AS WELL AS WHAT WE'RE REFERRING TO AS AN AMENITY ZONE AND COMPLETELY INTENDED TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITY FOR OUTDOOR SEATING AND DINING, THE PLENTY OF ROOM TO PASS BY, BUT COMFORTABLE SPACE FOR OUTDOOR DINING.

AND FOR THOSE BUSINESSES THAT ARE IMMEDIATELY AROUND THE SQUARE, THEY'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO, UH, EXTEND THEIR, THEIR BUSINESS TO THE, TO THE SIDEWALK.

IS THERE ANY TEXTS, UM, UH, YOU KNOW, MONIES OR WHATEVER FOR THIS LITTLE BUSINESSES THAT HAVE BEEN THERE FOREVER TO STAY AS THEIR TAX BASE GOES UP? I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS YOU'RE IN THE SQUARE.

YOU GOT A LOT OF REALLY OLDER LITTLE LIKE SEWING SHOPS AND THINGS LIKE THAT.

AND AS TAXES GO UP, IT'S HARDER AND HARDER TO KEEP.

SO WHAT PROGRAM WE DO HAVE IN PLACES, THE REVITALIZATION PROGRAM.

SO AS A BUSINESS AND PROPERTY OWNERS ARE INTERESTED IN IMPROVING THEIR PROPERTY.

THERE'S THAT 50 50 PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY TO HOPEFULLY, UH, MAKE THOSE PROJECTS MORE FEASIBLE.

ONE OTHER QUESTION ABOUT DOWNTOWN, IS THERE ANY INCENTIVE GIVEN BY THE CITY OF GHRELIN FOR PEOPLE TO ACTUALLY HAVE A BUSINESS DOWNTOWN IS THE CITY OF GROUND AND PROVIDE ANY INCENTIVES LIKE TAX ABATEMENT OR SO THOSE ARE DEFINITELY A PROJECT BY PROJECT CONVERSATION, IF YOU WILL.

BUT I WOULD, I WOULD DEFINITELY POINT TO THE MAJOR PROJECT UNDERWAY RIGHT NOW OF, OF THE SQUARE REDESIGN AND STREETS, AND REALLY CREATING THAT PEDESTRIAN ENVIRONMENT, THAT PEDESTRIAN FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT TO SPUR ECONOMIC, UH, INVESTMENTS.

THE 50 50 GRANT IS VERY INCENTIVIZING.

I THINK IT'S DRIVEN A LOT OF INTEREST FOR WHAT I CAN HERE.

I'VE USED IT ONCE AND I'M USING IT AGAIN MYSELF AS A PROPERTY OWNER.

UM, I THINK IT'S ENCOURAGED PEOPLE TO IMPROVE OR SELL THEIR PROPERTIES.

I'D LOOK TO THAT.

I GOT TO SPEND MONEY TO, TO GET THAT, BUT YEAH, I MEAN, WELL, I MEAN, YOU KNOW, SPENDING ALL THE MONEY YOU GOT TO SPEND, THERE'S ANOTHER PROGRAM, BUT IT'S A DIFFICULT ONE.

I THINK IT'S WHEN YOU DOING A BUSINESS, IT'S GOING TO BE BRINGING IN THAT MUCH MORE TAXES.

THERE'S A POSSIBILITY OF GETTING SOME MONEY'S THERE, BUT THEY DON'T HAVE A WHOLE LOT, YOU KNOW, AND QUITE HONESTLY, WITH WHAT'S HAPPENING, I THINK IT'S GOING TO BE MUCH MORE PEOPLE ARE GONNA WANT TO COME TO DOWNTOWN.

SO GOOD.

NICE TO HEAR THAT IN THEIR BUSINESS DOWNTOWN OR BUSINESSES HAVE MUCH TO DO.

IT'S NICE TO HEAR THAT PROCESS.

IT'S EASY TO TRY TO WORK WITH DEFINITELY FOR THE HEART.

IT'S HARD FOR THE SMALL ONES, YOU KNOW, SO-SO SHOP AND STUFF LIKE THAT.

YEAH.

ALL RIGHT.

WELL, VERY GOOD.

IF THERE ARE NO OTHER QUESTIONS, NO OTHER BUSINESS FOR OUR FUTURE MEETING, THEN WE WILL CALL THE MEETING ADJOURNED AT ONE OH ONE.

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

YOU GUYS HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB ON TIME.

GOOD, GOOD TO MEET YOU.

IT'S REALLY WONDERFUL.

.
