UH, ALL DIRECTORS ARE PRESENT, UH, WITH DIRECTOR WILLIAMS BEING REMOTE.
UH, THE FIRST ITEM ON OUR AGENDA, ITEM ONE, APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES.
UH, THIS WOULD BE FROM THE SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2022 MEETING.
I HAVE A MOTION TO APPROVE FROM DIRECTOR SMITH.
WE CAN PLEASE PREPARE THE VOTE.

UH, ALL IN FAVOR AND, UH, COUNCIL MEMBER DIRECTOR WILLIAMS IS VOTING IN THE AFFIRMATIVE AS WELL.
THAT ITEM IS APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.

UH, DIRECTORS ARE LOAN AGENDA ITEM IS MY, NOPE.
OUR LOAN AGENDA ITEM TONIGHT IS, UH, A REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS FOR MASTER LAND USE, UH, STUDIES, TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AND FEASIBILITY STUDIES FOR THE SOUTH GARLAND I 6 35 CORRIDOR IN AN AMOUNT UP TO $1.6 MILLION.
SO A LITTLE, LITTLE BACKGROUND HERE.
AS YOU'LL RECALL, DART HAS COMMITTED $15 MILLION TO A TRANSIT ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT PROJECT IN THIS AREA, UH, PER THE AGREEMENT, THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT, UH, BETWEEN THE CITY AND DART AND THE RTC.
UM, OUT OF THAT 15 MILLION WE HAVE RECEIVED AND WILL RECEIVE 1.6 MILLION IN FUNDING TO SET ASIDE FOR, UH, THE PURPOSE OF STUDIES AND PLANNING, UH, THE TRANSIT ORIENTED TO DEVELOPMENT.
SO, UM, THAT'S WHERE THE 1.6 MILLION COMES FROM.
THE REMAINDER OF THAT 15 MILLION, UH, 5.9 MILLION WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ONCE DART RECEIVES THEIR $15 MILLION FROM THE FTA.
SO, UH, DART HAS ESSENTIALLY FORWARDED US, UH, THE 1.6 MILLION, UH, TO STUDY, UH, DEVELOPMENT IN THIS AREA, UH, THAT, THAT INCLUDES THEIR PROPERTY.
UM, THE 5.9 MILLION, WE EXPECT TO, UH, RECEIVE THAT PERHAPS BY MID 2023, UM, AGAIN, DEPENDING ON WHEN THE FEDERAL DOLLARS END UP TO DART.
AND THEN THE FINAL 7.5 MILLION WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE CITY ONCE WE HAVE A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT IN PLACE WITH DART, UH, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPERTY THEY OWN RIGHT NOW.
SO WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT RIGHT NOW IS MOVING FORWARD WITH, UM, WE HAVE A SCOPE OF WORK FOR ABOUT $400,000 IN, UH, PLANNING WORK TO LAY OUT THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY TO ANALYZE THE MARKET, UH, TO LOOK AT THE PROBABLE COSTS AND TRAFFIC AND PARKING STUDIES, ET CETERA.
UM, NORMALLY WOULDN'T REQUEST SORT OF A BLANKET APPROVAL LIKE THIS, BUT, UM, THE, DUE TO THE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY IN FRONT OF US AND, UM, UH, THE OPPORTUNITY TO MOVE THIS QUICKLY, WE NEED SOME FLEXIBILITY AND IN, UH, PROCURING CONSULTANTS AND CHANGING THE SCOPE AS, AS NEEDED, UH, TO KEEP THE WORK MOVING FORWARD.
SO WITH YOUR CONSENT, UM, AGAIN, CONSIDERING THAT THIS IS KIND OF A ASKING FOR A LITTLE DIFFERENT BLANKET APPROVAL HERE, UM, WE'LL UPDATE THE BOARD ON A REGULAR BASIS, UM, MONTHLY TO BI-MONTHLY.
UM, UH, OF COURSE WHEN WE EXECUTE ANY CONTRACTS, WE'LL NOTIFY YOU AND, UH, GIVE YOU REGULAR UPDATES ON THE DEVELOPMENTS OF THIS AREA.
UH, WITH THAT, I'LL KIND OF OPEN IT FOR ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE.
