AH WHICH AGAIN IS GARLAND CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, WHEREAS THE GARLAND CITIZEN POLICE ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION IS CELEBRATING 30 YEARS AS AN ORGANIZATION, AND WHEREAS IN 1993 THE GROWING CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION WAS FOUNDED AS A STAND ALONE NONPROFIT, FIVE OH ONE C THREE ORGANIZATION. THE GROUP IS INDEPENDENT OF THE GARLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT BUT EXIST TO PROVIDE AN AVENUE FOR CONTINUED INVOLVEMENT FOR THE C P A GRADUATES WHO WISH TO GIVE BACK TO THEIR DEPARTMENT AND THEIR COMMUNITY. AND WHEREAS THIS PROGRAM IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION, COMPRISED OF PEOPLE WHOSE INTEREST IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND APPRECIATION FOR THE GARLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT BRINGS THEM TOGETHER IN SERVICE . THIS PROGRAM HELPS TO BUILD A BRIDGE BETWEEN THE COMMUNITY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT. AND WHEREAS FOR 30 YEARS TALENTED, LOVING, GIVING AND DEDICATED INDIVIDUALS HAVE COME TOGETHER IN A UNITED WAY TO BETTER THE CAUSE AND SHARE THE PASSION FOR ITS FOUNDING. ALL MEMBERS HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO MAKE THIS ORGANIZATION WHAT IT HAS GROWN. BUT IT HAS GROWN INTO TODAY.
