A MEMORIAL IS NOT EFFECTIVE IF IT'S NOT SEEN AND MOVING THEIR GARDEN WOULD BE IN MY OPINION, ANOTHER CASE OF OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND. THE GARDEN IS A VISUAL REMINDER THAT WAR IS AN EXPENSE THAT YOU PAY. AND WE SHOULD HONOR THOSE WHO DO WHERE THEIR PAST. PRESENT OR FUTURE. IT WASN'T UNTIL IT WAS MOVED TO THE SENIOR CENTER. FOLKS BECAME MORE AWARE OF IT. I BELIEVE THAT IF THE GARDEN IS MOVED IT WILL BECOME MORE VULNERABLE. DEFACEMENT. AND DESTRUCTION. WHERE WE'RE NOT ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF THE BASICS LIKE WHAT OUR CITY MANAGER SAID THAT IT SOUNDS LIKE HE'S ALREADY LOOKED AT THE NUMBER THAT HE DOES FEEL THAT THERE IS ROOM FOR IT. BUT OKAY? IN A FACILITY THAT WAS MAYBE NOT THE BEST THE PREVIOUS ONE, BUT IT WAS CERTAINLY ADEQUATE, AND NOW WE'RE LOOKING AT EVEN OPTION A IMPROVING ON THAT AND STILL MAKING IT SOMETHING THAT CAN BE PROUD OF, AND TRANS TRANSFORM, DRIVEN VITAL TO THE COMMUNITY. I'M IN SUPPORT OF THE FIRST OPTION THAT WAS PRESENTED HERE. THERE ARE FOUR CONTRACTS THAT WERE RECENTLY APPROVED BY COUNCIL RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION. AND THERE ARE FOUR ON THE AGENDA THIS WEEK. SO WE ARE MOVING FULL STEAM AHEAD. SO TWO OF OUR ROADWAY PROJECTS ARE TRACKING AT SIMILAR STAGES. WE HAVE NAME IN SCHOOL ROAD FEATURED ON THE LEFT FULFORD ROAD SEGMENT. EIGHTH FEATURE THERE ON THE RIGHT. WE ARE IN THE FINAL DESIGNS THE MIDDLE PHASE AND WE ANTICIPATE THIS PROJECT GOING UP FOR BID THIS FALL WITH CONSTRUCTION FOLLOWING NEXT SPRING. ONE OF OUR OTHER ROADWAY PROJECTS IS SHILOH ROAD BETWEEN KINGSLEY AND MILLER. WE HAVE MADE IT THROUGH THE 30% DESIGN PHASE.
