AND WHATEVER DECISION YOU MAKE WILL NOT IMPACT THE DECISIONS THAT WE MAKE HERE THIS EVENING.

I'D LIKE TO INFORM ALL THE CITIZENS, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN CAMELOT OF THAT ROADWAY PROJECT.

WE'LL ALSO BE DISCUSSING OTHER BOND PROJECTS THAT ARE AROUND DISTRICT SEVEN AND AROUND THE CITY.

AND WE'LL ALSO HAVE AN UPDATE FROM OUR, UH, PUBLIC SAFETY UPDATE FROM OUR N P O.

UM, HAVE PREPARED A FEW SLIDES TO, UH, TALK ABOUT THE JOHN PAUL JONES AND CHA HUB BELT RAMP PROJECT.

UH, REALLY GENERALLY, UH, THE, THIS PROJECT IS A, UH, AN EXCITING PROJECT, A GREAT PARTNERSHIP WITH TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE, UH, FOR A STATE BOATING ACCESS PROGRAM GRANT.

UH, THE FUNDING FOR THIS PROGRAM COMES FROM FEDERAL GASOLINE TAX AND, UH, EXCISE TAX FROM SALES OF FISHING TACKLE AND TROLLING MOTORS.

UH, SO THIS IS A TWO PHASE, UH, REIMBURSEMENT GRANT.

THE FIRST PHASE, WHICH IS WHAT WE'RE CONSIDERING OR WHAT WE'RE REQUESTING CONSIDERATION FOR TONIGHT, UH, IS FOR THE DESIGN PORTION.

SO IT'S, THEY CALL IT PLANNING.

IT'S, UM, ESSENTIALLY DESIGN.

AND THEN, UH, THE PHASE TWO PORTION OF IT WILL BE AS WE COORDINATE WITH TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE STAFF THROUGH THE DESIGN PROCESS, WE'LL ALL AGREE ON THE TERMS OF THE SCOPE OF WORK.

AND THEN THEY'LL SUBMIT, WE WILL AWARD THE GRANTS BASED ON, ON THE SCOPE OF WORK THAT WE END UP WITH.

AND SO, CURRENTLY OUR BREAKDOWN OF THE PROJECT BUDGET IS AS SHOWN.

UH, THE CONTRACT FOR DESIGN AMOUNT TONIGHT, UH, FOR CONSIDERATION IS THE 369,968.

UH, THE BREAKDOWN OF THE SHARE FOR TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE IS 250,000.

UH, THE GARLAND SHARE IS A HUNDRED NINETEEN NINE SIXTY EIGHT.

AND THEN, AS, AS I MENTIONED, WE GO THROUGH THE DESIGN PROCESS AND WE, UH, FINALIZE THE SCOPE OF WORK.

UH, THE BREAKDOWN FOR CONSTRUCTION WILL BE, UH, $1 MILLION FROM TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE.

AND THEN, UH, 1.8 MILLION, UH, FOR THE GARLAND SIDE.

AND IT'S FUNDED THROUGH SEVERAL DIFFERENT FUNDING SOURCES ON THE GARLAND SIDE.

UH, ALL THE DETAILS ARE OUTLINED IN THE C I P SHEET IF YOU WOULD, UH, NEED TO REFERENCE THAT.

UM, SO GOING INTO THE FUN STUFF, THE, UH, PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS AT, UH, MAJORITY IS GONNA HAPPEN AT THE, UH, CHA HA BOAT RAMP ITSELF.

SO WHAT WE'RE AIMING TO DO IS IMPROVE THE BOAT RAMP.

UH, THIS IS A BOATING ACCESS GRANT.

SO, UH, TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE IS LOOKING FOR, UH, IMPROVING BOATING ACCESS FOR, FOR PEOPLE.

SO THE BOAT RAMP WILL GET IMPROVED.

UM, ESSENTIALLY REDESIGNED.

UH, WE WILL NEED TO INCLUDE SOME, UM, UH, SEA WALL PROTECTION ALONG THE EASTERN SIDE OF THE BOAT RAMP.

IT'S, THERE'S CURRENTLY NO SEA WALL THERE, AND IT'S REALLY ERODING TO THE POINT THAT SOME OF OUR PARKING LOT IS AT RISK OF GETTING, UM, DUMPED INTO THE LAKE, ESSENTIALLY.

UH, SO THIS IS A MUCH NEEDED PROJECT

ON, ON A LOT OF DIFFERENT LEVELS, NOT ONLY TO PROVIDE SERVICE, BUT ALSO TO, UH, MAINTAIN OUR ASSETS, UH, OUT IN THE PARK SYSTEM.

UH, SO ALONG WITH THE BOAT RAMP, UH, WE'RE LOOKING TO INCLUDE A COURTESY DOCK SO THAT AS BOATERS ARE COMING IN, GETTING READY TO, UM, OFFLOAD ALL THEIR BELONGINGS, UH, THEY'LL HAVE A PLACE TO, UM, TO HAVE THAT DONE FROM SOMEBODY ON THE SHORE OR GET SOMEBODY OFF THE SHORE AND HELP THEM GET SITUATED.

SO, UM, UH, SOME OF THE OTHER THINGS THAT WE'RE LOOKING AT IN INCLUDING OUR KAYAK, UH, LAUNCH, UH, FISHING, PEER IMPROVEMENTS, POTENTIALLY PERMANENT RESTROOM BUILDING.

UM, BUT ESSENTIALLY THOSE ARE THE, THE MAJOR COMPONENTS OF THIS PROJECT.

UH, THE NEXT SLIDE, UH, JUST SHOWS A FEW EXAMPLES OF WHAT THOSE, UH, AMENITIES WILL LOOK LIKE.

AND THE OTHER MAJOR WAIVER THE APPLICANT IS PROPOSING, UM, IS, UH, ONE OF THE SPECIAL STANDARDS FOR MOBILE FOOD TRUCK PARKS IS THERE, UH, NEEDS TO BE A, A PERMANENT RESTROOM BUILT ON SITE.

UM, HOWEVER, UM, THERE IS THE PUBLIC RESTROOM THAT THE CITY RECENTLY BUILT SHOWN IN THIS PICTURE HERE, AND WE KIND OF TRIED TO POINT THE ARROW WHERE IT BASICALLY IS, IS LOCATED CATTY CORNER TO THE SITE.

SO THE APPLICANT IS PROPOSING RATHER THAN, UH, CONSTRUCTING A RESTROOM ON SITE, UM, ALLOWING THE CUSTOMERS TO USE THE PUBLIC RESTROOM, UH, WHICH IS LOCATED ROUGHLY ABOUT A HUNDRED FEET, UM, AWAY FROM THE FOOD TRUCK PROPERTY TO THE, UH, RESTROOM FACILITY.

AND YOU CAN SEE IT IN THAT PICTURE THERE.

UH, JUST AS A REMINDER, THE MAJOR WAIVER CRITERIA, UM, IS, UH, IT MEETS THE GENERAL INTENT OF THE, THIS DISTRICT AND WILL RESULT IN AN IMPROVED PROJECT, WHICH WILL BE AN ATTRACTIVE CONTRIBUTION TO THE DOWNTOWN AREA.
