LIMITED, UH, WHO NEED HOME REPAIRS? UH, AND IT TAKES ALL SORTS OF ROLES, AND SO FOR THE FIRST THREE YEARS TOTAL, WE HAVE AWARDED $1.2 MILLION IN GRANTS TO THE CITY FOR HOME REPAIR.

THAT $1.2 MILLION HAS HELPED 78 FAMILIES. G, UH, OF THOSE 78 FAMILIES. 46 OF THOSE FAMILIES WERE SENIORS AND ANOTHER 21 OF THOSE FOLKS THAT WERE HELPED WERE DISABLED. UH, THE, UH, THE AVERAGE INCOME OF A PERSON WHO RECEIVES THIS AID. UH AND THIS PROGRAM THAT WE'RE DOING RIGHT NOW IS LESS THAN $30,000 A YEAR. SO THESE ARE FOLKS OUR NEIGHBORS WHO TRULY NEED HELP WITH REPAIRING THEIR HOMES, TAKING CARE OF THEIR HOMES, THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE REPAIRS THAT ARE DONE OR ROOF REPAIRS. HV AC REPLACEMENT ELECTRICAL REPLACEMENT AND A LOT OF WORK WITH WITH WITH PLUMBING ISSUES WITH THEIR HOMES, AND SO, UM, WE HAVE BEEN, UH, HAPPY TO WORK WITH THE CITY OVER THE PAST THREE YEARS. LIKE I SAID, THIS IS, UH, OUR FOURTH YEAR THAT WE'LL BE DOING THIS. UH, THIS YEAR WHEN WE WERE GOT READY TO, UH, TO WORK ON THE GRANT I CALLED JASON AND MOAN AND SAID HOW ABOUT SOME MORE MONEY? AND THEY SAID WE LIKE WE LIKE HOW YOU THINK AND SO ONE OF THE ONE OF THE LIMITATIONS OF THE PROGRAM PREVIOUSLY IS THAT, UH, WE COULD COULD NOT SPEND MORE THAN $25,000 PER HOME FOR REPAIRS AND AS ALL OF US KNOW THE LAST THREE OR FOUR YEARS, COST REPAIRS HAVE GONE UP AND UP AND UP. AND SO WITH THIS NEW GRANT, WE'RE INCREASING THAT LEVEL FROM 25,000 PER HOME TO 35,000 PER HOME. UH, AND SO WE'RE HOPING THAT NOT ONLY CAN WE HELP MORE FOLKS WITH MORE MONEY, BUT ALSO THAT WE DO MORE REPAIR THAT WE WERE UNABLE TO DO PREVIOUSLY. SO MR MAYOR, UH, IT'S MY PLEASURE TO SHARE WITH YOU TONIGHT IS THAT THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAVE GONE. LET'S BRING IT OVER HERE, TONY, I'LL LET YOU GET BEHIND.
