SO WE ARE DETERMINED TO FIND HIM HIS FOREVER FAMILY, JUST TO TELL YOU A LITTLE BIT ABOUT HIM, HE'S ABOUT THREE YEARS OLD, WE HAVE HIM LISTED AS A PIT BULL MIX. HE'S NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, AND HEARTWORM NEGATIVE, HIS ADOPTION FEE IS ACTUALLY SPONSORED BY A VERY GENEROUS DONOR. AND IT'S ONE THING TO HEAR ME SAY THAT, YOU KNOW, IT'S ONE THING TO HEAR OUR STAFF SAY THAT, BUT, THIS, LET'S SEE HERE WHICH ONE I'VE GOT HERE, THE DALLAS BUSINESS JOURNAL'S BEST REAL ESTATE DEALS AWARD, THE UNDER THE COMMUNITY IMPACT CATEGORY, GARLAND'S DOWNTOWN SQUARE AND STREETSCAPES PROJECT HAS WON THE DALLAS BUSINESS JOURNAL'S BEST REAL ESTATE DEALS AWARD IN THE COMMUNITY IMPACT CATEGORY. IT ADDED 1300FT■S OF NEW SHADE STRUCTURES AND OVER 290 NEW LIGHT FIXTURES. 400FT OF WALL SEATING AND 100 NEW CHAIRS. THE REDESIGN ALSO INCLUDED EXTENSIVE LANDSCAPING WITH AN IMPRESSIVE 688 NEW TREES OVER 280 LARGE GRASSES AND PLANTS, AND 5000 PLUS FLOWERS AND SMALL PLANTS. THE SQUARE ITSELF NOW FEATURES A SWEEPING PROMENADE WITH AN EXPANSIVE RECREATIONAL LAWN FOR DAILY USE, AS WELL AS SPECIAL EVENTS INCLUDING CONCERTS. THE CHILDREN'S AREA WITH THE WATER FEATURE, SHADE PAVILION FOR SMALLER PROGRAMS AND OBVIOUSLY OUR COLORFUL GATEWAY FEATURE.

AND SO WE WANT TO GIVE A SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT TO HILL AND WILKINSON AIEK HOME AND STUDIO OUTSIDE FOR THEIR COLLABORATION ON THIS PROJECT. ALL RIGHT. SO THAT'S I THINK THERE'S MORE. THE PROJECT ACHIEVEMENT AWARD HONORS LEADING CONSTRUCTION AND PROGRAM MANAGERS. THIS AWARD HIGHLIGHTS CREATIVE AND INNOVATIVE PROJECTS THAT ARE PINNACLES OF EXCELLENCE. MANY DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS IN THE CITY, FROM THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE TO THE DOWNTOWN TO PARKS OPERATIONS TO A VERY LARGE GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY BROUGHT IT TO FRUITION.

I JUST GET TO BE STANDING HERE TODAY, BUT ALL THE GLORY I GET, ALL THE GLORY, THE TROPHY HAD ABOUT THIS MUCH. BUT, YOU KNOW, IT'S A COMMUNITY IMPACT AWARD. AND I THINK THAT IS PROBABLY THE MOST FITTING WORDS, BECAUSE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOOK OUT THE WINDOW AND YOU CAN SEE THAT IT HAS AN IMPACT ON OUR COMMUNITY.
