ITEM TWO B, CONSIDER AND TAKE ACTION ON THE PURCHASE OF MULTIPLE TRACKS OF LAND TOTALING APPROXIMATELY 64.053 ACRES LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH HIGHWAY IN HOLFORD ROAD FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE OF $10,751,720, AND AUTHORIZED THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE SUCH DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION.

UH, WE HAVE HAD MULTIPLE, WE TALKED ABOUT THIS LAST NIGHT.

I DON'T BELIEVE WE HAVE A PRESENTATION.

UH, ARE THERE ANY POINTS TO DISCUSS REMAINING? GO AHEAD, SIR.

SO, UH, TONIGHT FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, AS YOU MENTIONED, IS THE AUTHORIZATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF APPROXIMATELY 64 ACRES LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF GEORGE BUSH, TORN GEORGE BUSH TURNPIKE AND HOLFORD ROAD IN NORTH GARLAND.

UH, THE FOUNDATION HAS BEEN PRESENTED WITH A, A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE THIS PROPERTY, UH, IN A PRIME LOCATION, A PORTION OF WHICH IS ENCUMBERED BY THE CONSERVATION EASEMENT.

UM, STAFF HAS WORKED WITH THE CURRENT OWNERS TO STRUCTURE THIS AGREEMENT TO MAXIMIZE THE PROPERTY USE FOR DIRECT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES.

UH, AS YOU MENTIONED, THE PURCHASE PRICE IS APPROXIMATELY 10.7 MILLION AND TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THAT A PORTION OF THIS PROPERTY IS ENCUMBERED.

HOWEVER, UH, THE FOUNDATION AND THE CITY WILL BE ABLE TO USE THAT SPACE FOR THINGS SUCH AS GREEN SPACE, SPORTS FIELD, AND RELEVANT APPURTENANCES TO SUPPORT THOSE.

SO, UH, STAFF RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.
