THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN AROUND A LONG TIME, I MAY REMEMBER WE WENT TO THE VOTERS AND ASKED IF THEY WOULD WANTED THE TWO SENATE INCREASE ON THEIR PROPERTY TAX TO FUND STREETS.

THEY'RE MOVING ALL THEIR NEW FIREFIGHTERS INTO A FIVE STEP.
SO YOU, YOU HAVE SOME SAVINGS AS THEY START MAKING THEIR WAY UP TO THE FIVE YEAR SETUP.
THEY'VE ALSO, UH, MADE SOME CHANGES TO HOW THEIR COMPENSATION WILL WORK MOVING FORWARD.
SO THEY'LL HAVE THESE FOUR YEAR FREEZE IN YEAR FIVE, THEY'LL GET A 3% INCREASE AND THEN THEY'RE GOING TO GET THEM TO MARKET MEDIAN OF THE MARKET.
PREVIOUSLY THEY WERE REALLY DRIVING THE MARKET.
THEY WERE MEDIAN MARKET PLUS 5%.
SO THEY HAVE THE LATITUDE BECAUSE THEY'RE ALREADY IN THE TOP OF THE MARKET TO DO THESE FREEZES AND STILL BE SOMEWHERE CLOSE TO THAT MEDIAN OF THAT MARKET.
THEY ALSO DID OTHER THINGS LIKE, UH, BUNKER GEAR, UH, THE SECOND BUNKER GEAR, UH, SOMETHING THAT THEY WERE PHASING IN AT THE TIME TO GIVE ALL OF THEIR FIREFIGHTERS A SECOND PIECE OF BUNKER GEAR.

WELL, THEY HAVE ABOUT 2 CENTS.
IF THEY'VE UNUSED IT, 2 CENTS FOR PLANO IS ABOUT $10 MILLION.

BUT WHAT THEY DO KNOW IS THAT MOVING FORWARD AFTER THAT TO KEEP 'EM TO MARKETING, AND WE'RE TALKING AFTER THAT FOUR YEAR FREEZE, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE 15 TO 19% INCREASE IN SALARIES OVER THAT THREE YEAR CATCH UP PERIOD.
