SO JUST THE AWARENESS OF THE COMMUNITY SUPPORT HAS REALLY GROWN. AND SO MANY COMPANIES ARE EAGER THAT EVEN AFTER THIS EVENT, I HAD TEN TEXT MESSAGES FROM COMPANIES. SIGN US UP FOR NEXT YEAR. IT'S ONE OF THEIR FAVORITE EVENTS. SO LEO WAS ONE OF THE BOXERS WHO ACTUALLY WENT THROUGH THE GYM WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER AND HAS TWO COMPANIES IN GARLAND IS SPONSORING THE EVENT AND NOW GIVING BACK LOCALLY, AND HIS DAUGHTER, JULIANA IS ONE OF THE EIGHT DALLAS REGIONAL GOLDEN GLOVE WINNERS THAT IS NOW BOXING AND WILL BE BOXING IN THIS EVENT AS WELL. SO THERE WERE EIGHT DALLAS GOLDEN GLOVE REGIONAL WINNERS. OBVIOUSLY, HE MENTIONED ALEX AND DAVID, AND THEN COACH AMERICO HAS ACTUALLY BEEN THERE FOR 30 YEARS AND HIS SON RJ BOXED AND IS NOW A COACH GIVING BACK AS WELL. SO THE JUST AMOUNT OF YEARS, LIKE YOU SAID, THAT THESE KIDS GROW UP TO ADULTS AND GIVE BACK IN OUR COMMUNITY AND SUPPORT. AND WITH MJ GOING THROUGH THE POLICE ACADEMY WAS DETENTION OFFICER OF THE YEAR. AND WHEN WE WENT TO INTRINSIC, THESE KIDS ACTUALLY CAME UP AND HUGGED ME AND SAID, WOW, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU AND THE COMMUNITY AND THE CITY. AND IT TAKES A TEAM, ALL OF US, TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. BUT IT'S JUST SO PHENOMENAL WHAT THESE KIDS ARE, THE DISCIPLINE. THEY SAY IT'S A SECOND FAMILY TO THEM. THERE'S A TUTOR AT THE GYM, SO THEY HAVE TO HAVE GOOD GRADES TO BE ABLE TO BOX. AND JUST THE GROWTH OF THE AMOT OF INDIVIDUALS WHO WANT TO COME TO THIS CLASS EVERY YEAR WITH THE NEW BOXING, AS SOME OF THE KIDS WERE BULLIED, AND WHEN THEY GO THROUGH THE PROGRAM, THEY GET THAT CONFIDENCE AND STRENGTH BACK.
