Comprehensive Plan Update Montgomery Staff will provide an update on the Comprehensive Plan
Citizen-Initiated Municipal Court Complaints Neighbor At the request of Council Members Rick Williams and John Willis, the City Attorney will provide a briefing on the processing and prosecution of citizen-initiated criminal charges in Municipal Court. The City Attorney will present a synopsis of the Constitutional and statutory rules that govern the processing of charges in Municipal Court and a discussion of what is needed to make the successful prosecution of a citizen-initiated complaint more likely.
Community Services Committee Report Cox Council Member Laura Perkins Cox, Chair of the Community Services Committee, will provide a committee report on the following item: Permitting requirements for carnivals
Change in December Meeting Dates Mayor Council is requested to consider rescheduling the second regular meeting in December 2011 from December 20 to December 13. The Work Session would be held on December 12. This item is scheduled for formal consideration at the November 15, 2011 Regular Meeting.
Proposed Adoption of the Knight/Gaiter International Codes (2009 Edition) Council is requested to consider the recommendation of the Building and Fire Code Board and the Plumbing and Mechanical Code Board to adopt the 2009 International Fire, Residential, Building, Energy Conservation, Plumbing, Mechanical, Property Maintenance and Fuel Gas Codes along with local amendments.
3. Discuss Appointments to Boards and Commissions Council Harry H. Wilson – Senior Citizens Advisory Committee (Edwards) Dorothy L. Brooks – Community Multicultural Commission (Mayor) Henry Evans Hammons, II – Community Multicultural Commission (Mayor) John T. Ball – Housing Standards Board (Cahill) Joanne E. Stephens – Senior Citizens Advisory Committee (Cahill) 4. Consider the Consent Agenda Council A member of the City Council may ask that an item on the consent agenda for the next regular meeting be pulled from the consent agenda and considered separate from the other consent agenda items.
