Hiring of Federal Lobbyist As part of the 2010 Budget, Council approved funds to contract with a firm that would advocate on behalf of the City for a wide range of federal advocacy services. B & D Consulting was selected as the top firm from among 26 proposals received from qualified firms. The firm’s team of Ted Bristol (Senior Vice President/lead), Barbara Rhode (Senior Advisory) and Beena Patel (Public Policy Specialist) will be introduced to Council.
DART Update At the request of Mayor Ronald Jones, the City of Garland’s representatives on the DART Board, Tracey Whitaker and Mark Enoch, will provide an update to Council on current DART issues.
Public Improvement Districts At the request of Mayor Ronald Jones, Council is requested to discuss public improvement districts.
Change in Council Meeting Dates Due to several of the Council Members planning to attend the 2010 National League of Cities Congressional City Conference on March 13-17, 2010, Council is requested to consider rescheduling the second meetings in March from March 15 and 16, 2010 to March 22 and 23, 2010.

Announce Future Agenda Items A member of the City Council, with a second by another member, or the Mayor alone, may ask that an item be placed on a future agenda of the City Council or a committee of the City Council.
