(Item 1a) Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) – Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Impaired Driving Mobilization Council is requested to consider accepting a TxDOT Selective Traffic Enforcement Impaired Driving Mobilization Grant in the amount of $20,000. (Item 1b) Disaster Housing Assistance Program (DHAP) The U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has taken over long-term rental assistance for approximately 45,000 eligible families displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through a program called Disaster Housing Assistance Program (DHAP)
Castle Drive and Hinton Landfill Gas to Electric Project Update Staff will update Council on the Castle Drive and Hinton Landfill Gas to Electric Project.

Duckworth Utility Services Building.” At the October 20, 2008 Work Session, Council considered naming the new Utility Services Building located at 217 North Fifth Street, Garland, Texas, in honor of Charles E. Duckworth, former Garland City Manager from 1965 to 1977.
Hold a public hearing on the following zoning case: Consider the application of the City of Garland to consider appropriate zoning on properties zoned Shopping Center (SC) and Commercial-2 (C-2) Districts. These properties are bound by West Kingsley Road, South Garland Avenue and South Shiloh Road, and are commonly known 2218 West Kingsley Road; 3101, 3103, 3105, 3107, 3109, 3159, 3321, 3325, 3329 and 3401 South Garland Avenue; and 3110, 3120, 3200 and 3300 South Shiloh Road (File 08-52).
