(1.) Consider approval of the minutes of the June 26, 2007 Special Meeting and the July 3, 2007 Regular Meeting. (2.) Consider a resolution awarding bids. (3.) Zoning File No. 07-33, NC United Pentecostal Church. (4.) Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute Fiber Relocation Change Order No. 2 to Chiang, Patel & Yerby, Inc. in the amount of $265,719.00 for relocation of fiber and copper cable around 217 North Fifth Street as a part of the downtown redevelopment. (5.) Consider a resolution suspending the July 30, 2007 effective date of the proposal by Atmos Energy Corp., Mid-Tex Division to implement interim GRIP rate adjustments for gas utility investment in 2006. (6.) Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager and the Managing Director of Electric Utilities to negotiate, enter into, execute, transact, and otherwise make purchases of fuel oil, natural gas, and electricity.
Specific Use Permit to allow for a Whataburger
Item 7a - Consider the application of Atkinson and Associates Builders, requesting approval of 1) a Detail Plan with conditions on property zoned Planned Development (PD) District 04-47 for Freeway Uses and 2) a Specific Use Permit for Restaurant with Drive Through. The property is located southeast of the intersection of Bass Pro Drive and Interstate Highway 30.
Specific Use Permit for an Electric Substation
Item 7b - Consider the application of Masterplan, requesting approval of a Specific Use Permit for an Electric Substation on property zoned Agriculture (AG) District. The property is located north of the intersection of Vinson Road and Elm Grove Road.
Consider appointments to Boards and Commissions
Item 8 - Texas Municipal Power Agency Board Member Appointment. Board members are selected for two-year terms by the City Council in August. Terms are usually staggered whereby at least half of the membership has board experience. Board members are appointed based on qualifications.
