1. Written Briefings: a. Drought Contingency Plan Ordinance Revision At the June 18, 2007 Work Session, Council reviewed the City?s Drought Contingency Plan. Council is requested to consider revising the Drought Contingency Plan to allow the washing of vehicles during Stage 3 with the requirement that a positive shutoff nozzle is used to stop the flow of water when it is not being used to rinse the vehicle that is being washed. This item is scheduled for formal consideration at the July 3, 2007 Regular Meeting.

Cell Phone Review - Langley As part of the City Manager?s effort to improve the management and oversight of technology usage and expenditures in the City, a cross-departmental workgroup was formed in the Spring of 2006 to research issues related to cellular and wireless communications devices. The team, composed of twelve individuals from seven City departments, has concluded its research and provided recommendations to Administration. Administration is now ready to begin implementation of these recommendations. Council is requested to consider awarding a new contract for cellular service at the July 3, 2007 Regular Meeting.
