2007/2008 CDBG, HOME, ESG and ADDI Budget
Work Session Item 1b: Council is requested to consider the allocations for funding the CDBG, HOME, ESG, and ADDI Budget. If Council concurs, and as in prior years, staff will prepare the recommendation regarding the CDBG Project Budget. The budget for the CDBG Public Service funds will be done by Council. A public hearing is scheduled at the April 3, 2007 Regular Meeting. This item will also be scheduled at the April 16, 2007 Work Session to discuss the proposals and the budget with the possibility of adopting the budget on April 17, 2007.
TxDOT - Selective Traffic Enforcement Program
Work Session Item 1c: Council is requested to consider authorizing the acceptance of a Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) ? Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) ? Click It or Ticket (CIOT) grant. If accepted, the $30,000 grant will provide 100% salary reimbursement for officers conducting CIOT enforcement during the grant period, May 2007 ? June 2007. The grant is fully funded by TxDOT. The City of Garland is not required to provide matching funds. If Council concurs, this item will be scheduled for formal consideration at the April 17, 2007 Regular Meeting.
