Written Briefings: a. EMS Fee Ordinance Amendment Council is requested to consider an ordinance amending the emergency medical service transfer and mileage charges listed in Section 21.26 of Chapter 21, “Fire Prevention and Protection,” of the Code of Ordinances. This amendment is needed to correct Ordinance 6497 that was approved on November 1, 2011 which reflected incorrect amounts for transfer and mileage charges. This is a technical correction in the ordinance only. Actual billings have been made based on the correct amount approved by Council as part of the budget process. No one was over billed as a result of this error. If Council concurs, this item will be scheduled for formal consideration at the July 17, 2012 Regular Meeting.
Introduction of Fire Command Staff. Fire Chief Raymond Knight will introduce the current Garland Fire Department Command Staff.
Texas Municipal Power Agency Briefing At the request of Mayor Ronald Jones, the City of Garland representatives on the Texas Municipal Power Agency (TMPA) Board of Directors, Jamie Ratliff and Tom Jefferies, will provide a briefing on TMPA’s current activities.
Garland Goes Green At the request of Council Members Jim Cahill and Laura Perkins Cox, Council is requested to discuss Garland Goes Green.
NTTA Toll Gantries Highways 190 and 78 At the request of Council Members Tim Campbell and Mayor Pro Tem Preston Edwards, City staff will brief Council regarding the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) toll gantries at Highways 190 and 78.
2012 City Manager Management Agenda The City Manager will distribute his 2012 Management Agenda that will be reviewed at the 2012 City Council Annual Retreat.
City Secretary Position Council will discuss the position, duties, function, and role of a city secretary.
