Regulation of Smoke Shops The Plan Commission held a public hearing on August 11, 2014 and unanimously recommended amendment of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance as proposed by the Development Services Committee with the exception that smoke shops would also be allowed (with the approval of a Specific Use Permit) in the Shopping Center, General Business and Commercial 1 and 2 districts, in addition to Industrial 1. A public hearing is scheduled at the October 7 Regular Meeting to consider amendment of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance.
