Process of Selecting Tuckerville Park for Proposed Dog Park At the May 1, 2017 Work Session, Council requested a presentation be made by the consultant, RVi Inc., on the process for selecting sites for the dog park. In addition, RVi was asked to provide visual examples of other dog parks in surrounding cities in order to provide context regarding the size of the proposed dog park in Garland. The consultant, RVi Inc., will make the presentation similar to that made in previous public meetings in October and November of 2016.
Garland Development Code (GDC) Amendments Staff will provide a briefing to the City Council on proposed Garland Development Code (GDC) amendments.
Report of NLC Summer Board & Leadership Meeting Per Council policy, Council Member B.J. Williams will provide a brief report of highlights from the NLC Summer Board and Leadership (Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee) meeting.

Update on Special Session of the Texas Legislature At the request of Council Member B.J. Williams and Council Member David Gibbons, the Office of the City Attorney will provide a briefing on the upcoming special session of the Texas Legislature.

Williams and Council Member David Gibbons, the City Council is asked to consider a resolution opposing changes in existing revenue cap laws that would adversely impact City operations and the people of Garland. d. Consider a resolution opposing legislation preempting tree mitigation ordinances At the request of Council Member B.J. Williams and Council Member David Gibbons, the City Council is asked to consider a resolution opposing legislation that would preempt local ordinances that require developers to submit and abide by tree mitigation plans before undertaking a development. e. Consider a resolution opposing legislation banning cities from enforcing building codes and charging permit fees At the request of Council Member B.J.
