Portfolio Summary Staff presents the Portfolio Summary report to Council each quarter. The report is in compliance with the requirements of the Public Funds Investment Act. Management of the City's portfolios is conducted in accordance with the City Council Financial Policy, Statement of Investment Strategy, and Investment Policy.
Neighborhood Vitality Matching Grant Council is requested to consider the Community Services Committee recommendation of approval for the applications as submitted by the following 5 neighborhood associations: Creekside Village Garland HOA, Heron’s Bay Estates HOA, Hidden Forest Estates HOA, Las Mariposas HOA, and Shores of Wellington HOA. Unless otherwise directed by Council, this item will be scheduled for formal consideration at the May 1, 2018 Regular Meeting.
Sale of Property - 1929 Delmar Council is requested to accept the offer and sell the property to the Garland Housing Finance Corporation. GHFC and the Housing and Community Services department may use the property to expand the supply of affordable housing within the City of Garland. This property has been held by the City of Garland since 2015. Pursuant to Section 34.05 of the Texas Property Tax Code the property may be resold to a private entity with the approval of the governing body.
Verbal Briefings: Atmos Energy A representative from Atmos Energy will address the City Council concerning recent events in the City of Dallas related to gas leaks and plans to address aging infrastructure going forward.
Street Department Construction Program Update The Director of the Street Department will provide an update to the City Council on the status of the Street Department infrastructure construction program.
Consideration and Discussion regarding the Downtown/Forest Jupiter Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone (TIF#1) The Downtown/Forest-Jupiter TIF Board is seeking approval or direction from the City Council related to the Downtown/Forest-Jupiter TIF Zone amended Project Plan and Financing Plan. A Public Hearing will be held at the May 1, 2018 Regular Meeting. At Council's discretion, Council may adopt the ordinance to amend the Project Plan and Financing Plan or delay adoption pending further discussion and a subsequent public hearing.
Street Department Construction Program Update The Director of the Street Department will provide an update to the City Council on the status of the Street Department infrastructure construction program.
