Written Briefing(s): Strategic Project - Work Portfolio Plan Council is receiving a quarterly update on the Strategic Project Portfolio - Work Plan. There are currently 93 projects associated with the portfolio, and the Work Plan serves as a tool to provide Council with periodic updates on the status of each project.
2019-2020 Federal Grants for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Staff will provide the 2019-2020 Federal Grants Calendar for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Partnership Grant (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) for Council review.
Verbal Briefing(s): 2019 Proposed Capital Improvement Program Staff will provide an overview of the 2019 Proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP), which will be formally presented by the City Manager at the January 15, 2019, Regular City Council Meeting.
Multi-Family Water/Wastewater Base Rate At the December 18, 2018 Regular Session, the City Council held a Public Hearing regarding proposed Water and Wastewater base rate increases for multi-family facilities. At that time, the Council directed staff to evaluate and present options regarding the proposed increases at the January 14, 2019 Work Session. Staff will have a brief presentation prior to Council discussion on the matter.
Consider an ordinance requiring sterilization of all dogs and cats At the November 5, 2018 City Council Work Session, Council directed staff to prepare a draft ordinance that would require sterilization of all dogs and cats in Garland. Staff developed the proposed ordinace which was endorsed by the Animal Services Advisory Committe during their December 7, 2018 meeting. The draft ordinance is presented for Council's review.
Administrative Services Committee Report Council Member Robert John Smith, chair of the Administrative Services Committee, will provide a committee report on the following items: Policy regarding the location of meetings of boards, commissions, and Council committees and the recording thereof Policy regarding videoconference participation in Council meetings by councilmembers Report on the City's C2W health program changes
