Written Briefing: Investment Portfolio Summary Staff presents the Portfolio Summary report to Council each quarter. The report is in compliance with the requirements of the Public Funds Investment Act. Management of the City's portfolios is conducted in accordance with the City Council Financial Policy, Statement of Investment Strategy and Investment Policy.
Rick Oden Park Phasing At the February 8, 2020 CIP Budget meeting, Council asked staff to reconfigure the first phase of Rick Oden Park. Rather than building only the skate park, driveway and minimal parking in phase one, staff was asked to evaluate moving the phase line to include the restroom, full parking lot on the north side as well as the food truck area. Parks and Recreation staff worked with the Budget, Finance, AECOM and the Project Management Office, as well as the consulting engineers on the project to evaluate this reconfiguration. There is no financial impact to the 2020 CIP. Unless otherwise directed by Council, staff will move forward with the reconfiguration as requested.
Verbal Briefings: DART Bus Network Redesign - Selection of Potential Candidates for DART Bus Network Regional Forum At the March 2, 2020 Work Session, DART provided a quarterly update to Council that included a discussion on whether changes might be needed for its current bus network to achieve an appropriate balance between high-ridership for key routes and maintain adequate coverage throughout their network. DART has requested that the City of Garland provide a list of individuals that might be suitable to represent the community in the Public Engagement process.
COVID-19 Updates Staff will provide Council an update on COVID-19 and related employee matters.
