2020 Annual Performance Plan, Five Year Plan for 2020-2024 and Administrative Plan Approval Council is requested to consider approval of the Garland Housing Agency's 2020 Annual Performance Plan, Five Year Plan for 2020-2024 and the Administrative Plan in order for the City of Garland to continue to receive funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide rental assistance to low income families.
Verbal Briefings: Texas Municipal Power Agency Applicant Interview Council will conduct interviews with applicants and discuss the appointment/reappointment process for the City of Garland's representation on the Texas Municipal Power Agency. The term for Mr. Ratliff expires July 18, 2020.
Revision of Guidelines for Neighborhood Vitality Matching Grant Program The Community Services Committee is recommending revisions to the Neighborhood Vitality Matching Grant policy to the City Council.
Status Update on Home Improvement Incentive Program Neighborhood Vitality will provide a general update on the status and progress of the program to date, along with resident compliments and concerns regarding the policy governing the program and its implementation by City staff.
Aquatics Master Plan Update The Aquatics Master Plan is in its final phase of development. City staff and the consultant team of Brandstetter Carroll, Inc. worked together to evaluate existing facilities and programs and engaged over 3000 residents and patrons through a variety of public engagement strategies. Brandstetter Carroll, has compiled the data generated to develop recommendations for the physical planning, programs and services. The preliminary findings and recommendations for estimated construction costs will be provided.
COVID-19 Response Update and Further Actions Staff will provide an update to Council and ask for Council direction on various matters related to COVID-19 and actions being taken by the City.
Announce Future Agenda Items A member of the City Council, with a second by another member, or the Mayor alone, may ask that an item be placed on a future agenda of the City Council or a committee of the City Council. No substantive discussion of that item will take place at this time.
