The Mayor may present proclamations and recognize attendees or award winners, and may make announcements regarding upcoming City events and matters of interest to citizens. There will be no Council deliberations or votes on these matters.
All items under this section are recommended for approval by a single motion of Council, without discussion. Council has had the opportunity to review each of these items at a previous work session and approval of the consent agenda authorizes the City Manager to implement each item. Kingsley Road to Ridgedale Drive Bid No. 001117 TriCon Services, Inc. $1,221,000.00 This request is to provide for the opencut construction of approximately 1,460 linear feet of 8" water, 15 linear feet of 18” storm sewer, 46 linear feet of 21” storm sewer, and 20 linear feet of 8” sanitary sewer, along with 7,367 square yards of pavement replacement and incidentals. e. TMPA Greenville Interchange to GEUS Diesel Pole Replacement Labor Bid No. 682316 Hargrave Power $328,834.49 Optional Contingency 32,883.51 TOTAL $361,718.00 This request is to provide labor services associated with the approved GP&L/TMPA Greenville Interchange to Greenville Electric (GEUS) Diesel Pole Replacement CIP project. Due to the complex nature of the project, an optional contingency is included for any additional work that may be required. 3. Council is requested to consider approving a resolution supporting legislation that provides a far and equitable distribution of the sporting good sales tax revenue for local and state parks in preparation for the 85th Session of the Texas Legislature. 5. Council is requested to consider a resolution approving a Master Services and Purchase Agreement between Taser International Inc. and the City of Garland, in the amount of $2,690,446.45? and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement? and providing an effective date. Council is requested to approve a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the Master Services and Purchase Agreement between Taser International Inc. and the City of Garland, for the purchase and implementation of Body Worn Cameras, replacement of Fleet Incar cameras, replacement of interview room recording equipment and replacement of CEWs in the amount of $2,690,446.45. 6. Consider a resolution accepting a Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Impaired Driving Mobilization (IDM) Grant in the amount of $14,055.32? and providing an effective date. Council is requested to adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to accept a State of Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) – Impaired Driving Mobilization Grant related to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) enforcement in the amount of $14,055.32 for FY 2016 – 2017. 7. Swindell Switching Station and GreenvilleOlinger Transmission Line Bid No. 003517 Hargrave Power $3,923,409.66 Optional Contingency 392,341.00 TOTAL $4,315,750.66 This request is to provide the Engineering, Material Procurement, and Construction of the Swindell Substation and GreenvilleOlinger transmission line associated with the approved GP&L Swindell Substation Construction CIP project. Fiber Optic Maintenance, Repair, and Modernization Bid No. 685116 Superior Network Systems $200,000.00 This request is to provide fiber optic maintenance, repair, and modernization for multiple City departments. This will be a Term Contract with four optional renewals.

Consider the Adoption of a Legislative Program for the 2017 Session of the Texas Legislature The attached draft legislative program was submitted to the City Council as a written briefing on the November 14th work session. Please note that an additional item has been added since that time relating to the governance of the North Texas Municipal Water District. The City Council may add to, delete from, or modify any of the submitted items at this time. It should be born in mind that even in final form an adopted legislative program is not meant to be exclusive of other legislative efforts, nor is it meant to be an allinclusive description of the City's position on matters arising during the legislative session. There are simply too many bills in a given session on which the City may want to take a stand. The adopted legislative program will, however, function as a general statement of the Council's will and serve as a guide for the City's efforts in Austin in the upcoming session. The City Council may, and traditionally has, approved specific statements of support or objection by adopting resolutions and position statements to that effect during a legislative session. 11.
