A meeting of the Administrative Services Committee of the City of Garland, Texas will be held Thursday, February 20, at 2 p.m. at City Hall, 200 N. Fifth Street, in the Work Session Room, Garland, Texas.


AGENDA:
             
1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Approval of the minutes from the January 17, 2020 meeting.
 
2. ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION
 
A. Policy for Visiting Dignitaries and Shared Hosting of Events (Gibbons/Smith)Council has asked the committee to consider drafting a protocol that will outline how the city manages invitations to other representatives and budgeting of events hosted on their behalf. Tabled from the 1/17/20 meeting.
 
B. Creation of Additional Orientation Material for New Council Members (Smith/Aubin)Several members of the council have requested that additional council member-written orientation materials be drafted and added to the new member packet.
 
C. Discuss Non-Profit (NPO) and Sports Field Use (SFU) Drafts (Smith/Aubin)
Open committee and public discussion of the NPO draft. Emphasis on changes made as a result of the presentation of the SFU to the parks board. Finalize NPO use draft for presentation to council.
 
 
D. Consider research and/or adoption of other rules of order for the council (Aubin/LeMay)
 
3. PENDING ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

The committee has acted on these items.  They have not yet reported to the full council.
