 NOTICE OF MEETING CITY OF GARLAND, TEXAS PARKS & RECREATION BOARD REMOTE MEETING August 5, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. Prior to the regular meeting of the Board, the Park Foundation subcommittee will meet by internet/telephone beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Park Foundation subcommittee will discuss the creation of a Park Foundation. The Parks & Recreation board extends to each visitor a sincere welcome. We value your interest in your community and your participation in the meetings. Regular meetings of the Parks & Recreation board are held the 1st Wednesday of each month.
NOTICE: Due to the COVID - 19 emergency and, pursuant to Section 551.125 of the Texas Government Code and the executive order of Governor Greg Abbott suspending provisions of the Texas Government Code and other applicable laws of the State regarding normal open meetings, the Parks & Recreation board will hold this meeting by internet/telephone remote means. Time limits will be imposed by the Parks & Recreation chair as appropriate to the nature of the agenda item. Generally, public speakers are given three minutes. Due to legal restrictions, the Parks & Recreation board is not able to answer questions during the public comments portion of the agenda. If the Parks & Recreation board adjourns into Executive Session during this meeting, the Executive Session will be conducted by teleconference between and among the members of the Parks & Recreation board and relevant staff.
